A CLASSIC Disney World experience is COMING BACK —Â Chef Mickey’s will be serving DINNER again starting May 16th!
This staple at Disney’s Contemporary Resort is a favorite for SO many families! Chef Mickey’s has been serving up character breakfast for a few months now and was open for breakfast without characters for months beforehand. But if dinner is more your speed AND you want to experience the NEW dinner menu, you can make your Chef Mickeys reservations NOW!
To book dinner at Chef Mickey’s, head to the Walt Disney World website or the My Disney Experience app, and select Chef Mickey’s for dinner time (that’s 5 to 9:30 PM!).
Reservations are open for 60 days out, so you can book through July 6th right now. And because Chef Mickey’s is at Disney’s Contemporary Resort, you do NOT need a Park Pass Reservation or theme park ticket to get in! Anybody can dine here with Mickey and friends.
If you’ve dined at Chef Mickey’s before, you may notice some differences at this restaurant. Before Disney World’s closure last year, this character meal was a buffet, but that’s changed due to the coronavirus pandemic and increased health and safety measures around Walt Disney World. Instead, Chef Mickey’s will be a combination of family-style and a la carte style dining like other reopened former buffets such as Magic Kingdom’s The Crystal Palace and Hollywood Studios’ Hollywood & Vine.
The revamped dinner menu will feature four courses: a starter, plated signature items, a protein selection (Prime Rib, Roasted Salmon, and Traditional Roasted Breast of Turkey), and dessert. There is also a kids’ menu which features a Kids’ Platter with Macaroni & Cheese, Chicken Nuggets, Turkey Corn Dog Nuggets, Tater Puffs, and Steamed Broccoli.
Chef Mickey’s is a bit pricey, but it IS a character meal. It costs $55 per adult and $36 per child, plus tax and gratuity.
And, if you’re planning on going to Chef Mickey’s soon, beware! It MAY be noisy as The Contemporary Resort undergoes room refurbishments. (And this restaurant is already known for being a bit LOUD.).
It’s SO great to see this family-favorite dining experience return, and we’ll definitely be heading to Chef Mickey’s dinner to let you know how the food and experience is! Best of luck making your own reservations! We’ll keep an eye out for more Disney World dining news and let you know when MORE restaurant experiences return.
