EPCOT is a foodie’s dream!
While there is incredible food all over Disney World, EPCOT’s World Showcase is home to lots of cultures and delicious snacks. There’s a reason so many people eat and drink around the world! And today, we tried an old favorite of ours that returned to the France pavilion…but it’s pretty different than before!
We’re talking about the Roulé aux Fromage — formerly known as the Roule Lard et Fromage. This snack is also known as the bacon and cheese roll, and it’s located at Les Halles Boulangerie Patisserie.
Although it has returned, we immediately noticed that something was different. First of all, the shape is not what we’re used to! This is the bacon and cheese snack that we knew before…
…and now it is an almost an oval shape. It’s less of a bacon and cheese roll now, and more of a piece of bread with bacon and cheese on top. Our biggest complaint was that there is LESS bacon now.
It’s hard not to love a snack that mixes three incredible things like bread, cheese, and bacon, so we did still enjoy it. If you’re looking for some carbs to snack on, this is for you!
Although the flavors were still good, this snack is a bit dry, so you might want to consider adding some jam. Instead of layers of bacon and cheese in the bread, it appears to be all on top now.
Just take a look at what the layers were like in the old version. That’s where the extra bacon was hiding!
This is still a great snack to grab in the France pavilion, but there are also TONS of other treats to choose from. The Roulé aux Fromage will cost you $7.99. We’ll continue to update you when fan-favorite snacks come back to Disney World, so stay tuned to DFB!
