You’ve probably heard that Disney World will be getting its very own IMMERSIVE Star Wars Hotel!

We’ve slowly but surely been learning tidbits about Disney World’s Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser. The delayed opening was recently announced, the hotel will feature a new kind of lightsaber, and there will be a pretty cool featured dining experience onboard. Now, we know a little more about the current behind-the-scenes progress on the upcoming offering!
Today, Disney filed a permit for “Project H [to] Install New Ground Mount Marquee.” Whoa, now! That’s signage for Project H, A.K.A. Project Halcyon, A.K.A. Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser.

The permit appears to call for a pretty major signage installation from Design Communications, a firm that has done theming work for Disney in the past. This could be roadside signage at the entrance to parking, or it could be something around the main entrance.

Interestingly, the permit has an end date of January 29th, 2022. This means that the work is expected to wrap prior to that date. We’ve seen January 2022 as the expiration date on several Galactic Starcruiser permits. Could the Star Wars Hotel open shortly after that point? Maybe!
