A LOT has changed in Disney World lately!
On Friday, Disney announced that face masks would no longer be required in outdoor areas (with a few exceptions). We’ve seen plexiglass start to disappear on certain attractions, and some shows have reduced physical distancing, but now one of the most popular rides in all of Disney World is seeing some changes!
If you have not experienced Rise of the Resistance, there may be a few spoilers in here so beware! We rode the attraction tonight and noticed two MAJOR changes from what we’re used to.
First of all, the pre-show room with Rey and BB8 no longer has physical distancing dots on the ground. The Cast Members instead told guests to keep moving and fill in all of the available space.
We did not see dots on the ground before you enter the pre-show room either.
Another major change is that there are no dots on the ground or plexiglass in the transfer ship that follows the pre-show room.
Instead, guests are able to stand wherever they’d like.
There were still dots on the ground when we went through the First Order corridor and the prisoner cells.
There is also still plexiglass on the ride vehicles themselves.
These changes are pretty huge for one of Disney World’s most popular attractions! We’ll continue to keep an eye on them and let you know if anything changes!

Does this mean more rider capacity for the ride too? Just wonder if snagging a spot on the virtual queue is easier now?

I want to get the stretching room back at Haunted Mansion! Any scuttlebutt on when that may happen?
Lisa Moynihan says
The ride did not open today and will remain closed the entire day. No explanation was provided.

The ride is so busy Disney needs to make it more normal . I still think it is still distancing people little at a time they will open it up more and more .

Then, the next morning of May 20, woke up early to successfully get a boarding pass. Then ROTR did not run the ENTIRE DAY!!!! That was my one day in the park for a trip that we planned for over 2 years. Thanks, Disney!

Edye cream is good but not great in the supermarket it is less than $4..00 half gal. I though it would be made on the premises really great icecream. I do not think it will last sorry to say . The place needs more food to sell it is on the board walk . There was a bakery at one time it did not stay . Good Luck.
