Elevators
We saw signs at the elevators that said they may be down for a bit of a refurbishment.
However, we didn’t notice anything out of the ordinary during our visit.

The Riviera elevator doors are getting a polish, thus the reason for the signs. We were there a couple of weeks ago and spoke to the guy doing it. Yep, just one guy. The elevator doors are brass and as such need polishing from time to time. The guy explained that they basically have a layer of what amounts to clear nail polish on them to keep the brass shiny, and that layer has to be stripped, the brass polished and then the layer of clear varnish reapplied. That’s a lot of elevator doors for just one guy, so it will probably take awhile.
