Running short on time in Disney World?
It’s really hard to do everything in Disney. And sometimes, a tight schedule means you only have half a day to spend in a park! Now, each of the 4 parks has its own must-dos — and you could make an argument for spending a full day (or more!) in any of ’em. But how do YOU decide which park should be YOUR half-day?
Well, we did what we usually do here at DFB: we polled our readers on Instagram! We asked them which park was the BEST for a half day and waited while the results rolled in. (Keep in mind that there’s no right or wrong answer — despite that green check next to EPCOT!).
So…what did we find? Well, our readers were overwhelmingly in favor of spending half a day at Disney’s Animal Kingdom. In fact, 55% of you voted for this park.
There aren’t too many attractions here, and wait times are usually low (with the exception of Flight of Passage!), so we totally get why this may be your pick. Unless you really want to dive deep into the animal exhibits or ride Expedition Everest on repeat, there’s not too much to do here after a couple of hours.
Our readers’ second choice? Disney’s Hollywood Studios! Before the addition of Galaxy’s Edge and Toy Story Land, this was REALLY considered a half-day park. There just wasn’t a lot to do! And even with these new lands, that’s still the opinion of 23% of our readers.
In third place was EPCOT, with 17% of the vote. Now, there aren’t a lot of rides here right now — especially because Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure and Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind haven’t opened yet — but there’s lots of other stuff to do. You can explore the World Showcase, eat (and drink!) your way through a Festival, or sit down in the AC for some shows. Half day or full day: it’s all up to how much YOU want to do!
We weren’t too surprised to see that our readers’ LAST choice for a half-day park was Magic Kingdom, with just 5% of the vote. Disney World’s flagship park has lots to see and do, from rides to shows to shops. Hey — we’d wanna spend a full day here, too!
You could make any of these parks a full day — or you could make them a half day if you really whittled down your must-dos! It all depends on what YOU want to do on your vacation. Still, it’s fun to hear what other people are thinkin’, right? Let us know what your half-day park is — and keep checking our Instagram for more polls!

With the lack of handicapped attractions all parks except epoxy are half day parks.
