ICYMI: the Jungle Cruise is undergoing a pretty big reimagining!
We’re seeing a hefty retheme — including a new storyline! — debut on both coasts for this classic attraction, and we’ve been closely following the progress. In Magic Kingdom, that means hoppin’ aboard the ride (which is remaining open throughout the project) to see what’s new. And today, we spotted somethin’ a little different!
Last week, we shared a first look at the NEW Trader Sam scene at the end of the ride — the original scene had been removed. And now, another scene is gone, too!
Recognize that spot? It’s where animatronics depicting natives used to dance and “throw spears” at guests onboard.
As a reminder, here’s what that scene looked like before.
Part of the Jungle Cruise’s reimagining involves addressing negative depictions of “natives,” so we’re curious to see what this scene is ultimately replaced with! The transformation is expected to be complete this summer. We’ll keep a close eye on the changes and keep ya posted!

Are the parks in general getting less inviting? Don’t tell my wife, but I’m wondering whether my great idea to move here was all that great.
