We’re getting closer and closer to Halloweentime in Disney World!
Last month, Disney announced that the Disney After Hours BOO Bash would be replacing Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party in Magic Kingdom this year. This more limited event is the first full after-hours event we’ve seen in Disney World since the park closures and now we know a lot more about tickets and dates! Spoiler alert: This event is EXPENSIVE. 😳
Disney just announced more information about the BOO Bash event including ticket pricing. The 3-hour event will run you $129 to $199 per adult or child (plus tax), depending on the event date. Annual Passholders and Disney Vacation Club Members get a $10 discount on dates in August and September.
For reference, Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party was a much longer event in 2019 with pricing capping out at $135 for adults and $130 for children.

Cori says
I wonder if this is worth doing
Lisa says
Yuck! What is the reasoning behind the price increase?? Will there be extras included? Do you think it’ll be worth it?
Susan Bulloch says
I was looking forward to this event, but WOW at the price!
brandon says
Absolutely rediculous.
This pricing structure release has completely guaranteed that I will not be spending my money on this travesty. 😤
I’m sure it will just be a replacement for Villains after Hours except with MUCH LESS to do. And they are going to sell tickets until every corner of the park is packed.
That’s dirty pool disney.
Dirty pool.
Heather Phillips says
Any news on when Disney Villains After Party will return?
Bob says
Not surprised by the price at all. I hope they are actually limiting the tickets to a specific number and not to however many they can sell…
Doug says
The new Halloween party does not give me that warm fuzzy feeling as the past Halloween celebration did. Cost, another reason to stay home.
Jaynee says
Not worth the big bucks. Who can afford it? They will still admit too many to make it enjoyable plus we don’t know what is and isn’t offered. Tired of the price gouging Disney.
Brad says
Uh, no.
NJ says
Maybe it’s time Disney stopped all the expansions and started focusing back on families and their loyal customers. The constant upcharges, the high prices, the less and less perks all make Disney a less appealing place on almost a daily basis. I will never pay those ridiculous party prices.
Dawn says
I’ve seen several people get an email from Disney letting them know they have the ability to book June 8th. We have a reservation at Coronado Springs in October but have not heard anything from Disney. Anyone else staying at Coronado get an email to book early?
Amber says
That is outrageous. I wish people would stand up sometimes and take a stance and say that they are not going to pay these outrageous prices.
KENNETH M NAPIERKOWSKI says
This is so typical Disney. Using covid as an excuse, they’re giving you less and charging you more! This might actually be the biggest ripoff Disney has ever pulled. I guarantee things will never be the same. This is the new normal. Sad.
Jenn says
That pricing is absolutely ridiculous. I am staying in September onsite at a resort and there is just no way I’m spending a fortune for my regular park tickets and hotel just to turn around and spend potentially $200 per person more for THREE HOURS?!
Roz says
OMG 😱. We were
Planning on going but not anymore! How are families with
Two or three children going to afford that ! We will be doing a girls trip and can afford it but we’re not stupid !!!!! Ah heck no — we PASS. !! Disney is cutting their noses off to spite their faces !
Craig says
I wonder why they are not having the Boo Bash on Sept. 28th and Oct.1st. According to their schedule, it’s every Tuesday and Friday.
April says
What a rip-off! 🙄 I’ve always wanted to go to MNSSHP, and thought I’d get that chance this year. I’m not spending an extra $400 for my husband and I to go to a watered down, more expensive, shorter version. 🤦🏻♀️ Seriously considering changing over to Universal at this point!
Brad says
I really don’t have an issue with the prices because it will limit the number of people per night to manageable levels and I usually favor the earlier nights of these events. Not sure whether I will do an evening for my birthday trip in August or wait til September. Everyone has to make their own choice though, but this is one more day I can use in another park by buying an after hours ticket.
Maria says
Anything about any Haunted Mansion events at Disneyland yet?
Suzanne coppola says
Well disney doesn’t even say how many they are going to allow into the park for any given day with boo bash. Honestly I think the cost is ridiculous……no fireworks, no parade and no character met and greets..and you are going to give me free ice cream and a cup of soda to make up for it……what? I just don’t understand why they are hosing us this much….shame on disney….we haven’t missed a year of not so scary…..we will miss this event.
Dorothy says
I BEG you not to go to this event at these ridiculous prices! The only way we can stop this price gouging is to not participate.
Bobbie Tucker says
NO – too expensive and there are still too many restrictions. I cannot image having to wear a mask on any attraction or while inside the buildings/attractions. No thanks Disney.
Carissa Cousineau says
Yikes! That seems ridiculous!
Guy says
I was looking forward to the new Boo Hours with family and friends but the wife and I will skip it ,as my daughter and friends will go. The costs combined with the short hours, abbreviated happenings will have us staying at our campsite this year..
Cj says
When they sale that June 8th is the on sale date for on property guests, does that include friendly neighbor hotels?
Josie Son says
Absolutely not attending Disney’s Boo Bash. The prices are outrageous. We loved the Not so Scary Halloween Party and that too was getting priced way too high but at least that was a much longer event. So now for a family of four it’ll cost up to 800.00 for three hours. We were so looking forward to bringing our first grandchild to this event but not these prices. Disappointing.
Jeffrey says
3 hours compared to 5 hours. Nothing about fireworks or stage shows. No parade. But the price is almost double then MNSSHP. We all understand that Disney needs to make up money because of covid, but seriously! These prices are ridiculous….
Mashelle says
Since I’m going solo I will attend. However if it goes over $225.00 in 2022 then no.
Capt. Jack says
Money Grubbing is Rampant at WDW !
Poor Gail says
Twice the price for half the experience. Oh Disney, what *are* you thinking?
Nicole says
I wonder If they will offer something like this the week of Thanksgiving. I ‘d happily give up a day of park tickets to go to one of these.
DFB Sarah says
CJ, it could, but Disney has only said “select Walt Disney World hotels” so far, so I can’t say for certain. We will update when Disney shares that info.
DFB Sarah says
Maria, not that I’ve heard. We will post when Disney announces anything.
DFB Sarah says
Heather, no news on this yet.
Doug says
Disney will keep increasing the cost to attend as long as people are willing to pay
Brandon says
I wonder what the select resorts will be. I’m staying at the Riviera 🤔
Marco Franco says
I know Disney had a hard time after it closed down for a while but to be this desperate for money is ridiculous. Less than half the activities from previous Halloween party and twice the cost. They need to offer something to make it worth it or people will be very angry with all these changes.
Debbie says
We have gone to a few Halloween nights over the years.I remember the one year they gave out Ghiradelli chocolate.. After that year, it was the cheap Candy nobody eats.. The park was so packed, we were shoulder to shoulder. My daughter ended up having an attack, because of the crowd and inability to get air( she is under 5 ft.. ) we couldn’t even get out to get medical help.. After that year, never again. Not worth the money, and that’s when we were paying $65.00 per adult!!!
Ray says
Not worth booking for international travellers as NOT REFUNDABLE and borders still not open yet.
Trinity says
I have always dreamed of a vacation to Disney especially MNSSHP. Ever since I was in the 1st grade. However Thier prices are above what I or my family could afford. Now with the 50th anniversary coming I feel as if I could be missing out on a magical experience. Yet with COVID-19 restrictions and price gouging (no parades, meet and greets ECT) I feel hesitant to even Dream about going because I may not get the full experience.
Oh well Disney is doing what they can. They can’t please everyone.
