Headed to Disney World in June?
If so, you’re probably gearing up for a GREAT TIME! Well, it’s about time to welcome in summer in Disney World and June is sure to be a FUN month in the Most Magical Place on Earth. So, we want to make sure you know the BEST ways to spend your June in Disney World!
1. Plan A Pool Day!
June is the first month of summer and if there’s one thing you can expect from summer in Orlando, it’s HOT temperatures. That makes June one of the best times of year to enjoy a Disney World pool day! If you’ve got room in your plans for a day in the water, you could have a refreshing and fun day in store for your family!
One option is taking a resort day! The Walt Disney World Resort hotels each have at least one pool and most of them can make for a pretty awesome pool day. Wherever you’re staying on Disney property, odds are you’ve got a pretty neat pool waiting steps from your room to help you cool off, relax, and have FUN.
Looking for something a little more exciting than hanging out in a pool? Head to a Walt Disney World water park! Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon remains closed at this time, but you can go beat the heat over at Disney’s Blizzard Beach!

2. Celebrate Pride Month!
June is also Pride Month! That means Disney releases a few ways to help celebrate LGBTQ+ pride! We’ve spotted a Pride Collectible Key, Pride Face Masks, and the Rainbow Disney Collection too.
Disney is donating funds to organizations from around the world that support LGBTQ+ communities. And you can find loads of rainbow treats around the parks!
One of our favorites is the Dole Whip Cocktail flight seen above!

3. Pay One More Visit to the EPCOT Flower and Garden Festival!
The EPCOT International Flower and Garden Festival wraps up on July 5th, so June is your LAST full month to enjoy the festival! Head on over to EPCOT to try all the greatest eats of the fest before they disappear — who knows if they’ll be back next year!
And there are all those beautiful gardens to explore too! What better way to say farewell to spring than with a stroll through blooming gardens and around gorgeous topiaries?

4. Take Advantage of the Longest Days of the Year!
The summer solstice this year is on Sunday, June 20th and that means that this month will bring us the most daylight each day of the whole year! More daylight can be a BIG perk in Disney World so get ready to live it up on those long days.
Pools are typically open until the sun goes down which means longer pool days in June and more daylight while you’re in the parks. Plus, it might be easier to tack on plans at the end of the day — like mini-golf after dinner if your park closes early!

5. Check Out the Newly-Reopened (kinda) Disney’s Beach Club Resort and Disney’s Wilderness Lodge Resort!
And finally, there are TWO newly reopened resorts in June! Both Disney’s Beach Club Resort and Disney’s Wilderness Lodge have technically been partially open for Disney Vacation Club. But, Disney’s Beach Club Resort returned to full operations yesterday and Wilderness Lodge will on June 6th.
If you’re not staying at one of these hotels, consider booking a dining reservation at one (or both) of them to pay a visit to another reopened Disney World resort hotel!
