We are having an AMAZING time exploring Avengers Campus in Disney California Adventure!
Yep, the newest land to join the Disney parks is pretty cool. We’ve already seen Avengers in action, tried some super small eats, and learned to sling webs alongside Spider-Man. Now, we’re headed to a pretty iconic spot from the first Avengers movie — Shawarma Palace!
Shawarma Palace is a food cart that acts as the second location to the Avengers’ favorite shawarma joint in New York City. As the story goes, the heroes asked if the owners would set up shop in Avengers Campus! We already took a first look at this spot earlier in the week, but now it’s time to EAT!
Atmosphere
The theming makes the cart look like a plain ol’ NYC-style shawarma cart. If you’ve been to the Big Apple, you’ve probably seen something similar!
The big difference is that this cart is covered in Avengers paraphernalia. Why? Well, it turns out the Shawarma Palace owners are BIG fans of the Avengers. You can even spot a recreation of Captain America’s shield! Huh, we guess the feeling is mutual.
But enough about the cart itself, let’s eat!
Eats
We’re looking at a small menu of shawarma-inspired eats here. Get ready to option between New York’s Tastiest and the Impossible Victory Falafel!
There IS also a breakfast menu, featuring an Impossible Breakfast Sha-warm-up, but we’re ALL about the snacks today. We’ll be back later with a review of that breakfast!
Since this IS our first visit, we thought we’d go BIG. That’s why we’re trying BOTH options on the snack menu!

And we’re kicking things off with New York’s Tastiest for $12.99.
This is a Chicken Shawarma Wrap, Garlic Spread, and Coconut Yogurt-Tahini Sauce with Pickled Vegetables. And we really enjoyed it! The wrap had a great kick to it and was super flavorful.
The coconut-yogurt tahini sauce it comes with complements the wrap really well — and it tastes just like tzatziki! If you want even more of it, you can grab an extra side for $0.89.
We also got the plant-based snack option: the Impossible Victory Falafel for $12.99. Expect to taste a Plant-based Falafel and Cauliflower Wrap, Garlic Spread, Hummus, and Coconut Yogurt-Tahini Sauce with Pickled Vegetables.
We definitely preferred the Chicken Shawarma Wrap to this one. The falafel wrap was a little bland, but not too bad! We’re glad to see that there’s a plant-based option on the menu.
This menu may be small, but it’s mighty! So, should you pay a visit to Shawarma Palace?
Nosh or Not
You SHOULD eat at Shawarma Palace if…
- You couldn’t get into Pym Test Kitchen. Mobile Order windows are going FAST for Pym Test Kitchen, but if you still want to eat in Avengers Campus, this is a good option.
- You’re looking for a grab-and-go meal.
- You want a plant-based option.
You should SKIP Shawarma Palace if…
- You want a lot of options. You’ll only find 2 things on the snack menu here!
- You want a sit-down meal. Shawarma Palace is meant to be quick ‘n’ convenient!
- You’re a picky eater. Again, with only 2 things on the menu, you may not find something you like.
Overall
Like we mentioned, Shawarma Palace is a great pit-stop while you’re running around the campus. You don’t have too many options menu-wise — and among the 2, we’d recommend siding with that chicken shawarma unless you need a plant-based meal. If you’re looking for more eats, head on over to Pym Test Kitchen in the land. They’ve got a MUCH bigger menu with some pretty creative dishes!

Falafels are already vegetarian if not vegan. So why in the world is this branded by Impossible? Just so stupid!
