Halloween is getting closer!
And with that, we’ve been slowly getting details on Disney’s BOO Bash, the event which will replace Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party this year. We’ve already learned a lot about the food offerings, characters we could encounter, and dates the event will be held…but now it’s time to talk PRICE.
Disney recently released the BOO Bash ticket prices, and we’ve gotta say…they’re a LOT. Depending on the event date, you could be spending anywhere from $129 to $199 per adult or child! For context, tickets for Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party capped at $135 on Halloween night in 2019.
This Halloween night, tickets will cost $64 more than they did in 2019! That’s a HUGE increase. Last month, we asked our readers if they planned on buying BOO Bash tickets, and only 45% said yes. And now, we’re wondering if that price tag had changed any minds.
So of course, we asked our readers on Instagram if THEY thought the cost of tickets was worth it! And yeah — we’re not too surprised by the results. 74% of our readers said that no, the price of BOO Bash was NOT worth it, and they didn’t plan on attending! In contrast, just 26% said they’d be there.
Sure, the tickets are expensive (more than a day ticket!), but it goes a little deeper than that. You’ve also got to consider what you’re getting for your money. BOO Bash is a 3-hour event, while Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party was 5 hours. So you’re paying MORE for a significantly shorter event! Factor in the absence of shows, fireworks, and more, and we’re kinda wondering if the splurge is worth it, too.
Now, Disney does seem to be marketing BOO Bash more along the lines of an After Hours event (after all, it’s in the name!). This means that there will be complimentary ice cream bars, popcorn, etc. Disney could also be making this a very limited capacity event, which could mean LOW wait times and crowds. So if you consider Boo Bash in that light…does that justify the ticket cost? That’s up to you to decide!
Whether you’re attending or not, BOO Bash kicks off in just over 2 months! We’ll keep ya posted with ALL the latest updates as that gets closer. Let us know if you’re buying a ticket, and stay tuned to keep up with our Instagram for more fun polls!

My family of only three were to purchase the tickets tomorrow. After being there in the past and to seeing what is offered this year, we have decided it is not worth the money.

I’ve been toying with the idea ever since the announcement came a few months ago about the revised event … but the ticket price is just extreme for what you’re getting. I was considering August, so it would be cheaper and go with my son’s birthday – but summer means heat and potential rainstorms (which WDW is well aware of), so we could be paying $600 (for x4) and get rained out. Even if we each had our fill of included snacks/drinks, and considered the shorter lines like a FP all night (since those are gone), I don’t know if $150/pp is worth it for only 5hrs (plus having to get a hotel for the night or drive the hour home at 12:30a)… oh, PLUS the $30 for parking since we don’t have AP’s! I forgot about that part!… so for my family of four to have 5hrs at MK, it could be over $700… yeeaahhh… Sorry Disney, I’ll save my money for when the AP’s come back (maybe).
