Calling all breakfast fans, we have some great news!
While the Disney World parks have been reopened for almost a year, some restaurants around the Resort are still temporarily closed. One restaurant that still has yet to reopen is Boma at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge.
Prior to the closure, Boma offered buffet-style dining for guests at both breakfast and dinner. The breakfast buffet was home to a number of popular items, including the French Toast Bread Pudding. If you’re missing the French Toast Bread Pudding as much as we were, we have good news — it’s now BACK at a different Animal Kingdom Lodge restaurant!Â
That’s right, we spotted the French Toast Bread Pudding available on Mobile Order at The Mara, a quick service restaurant at Animal Kingdom Lodge!
Even though we were able to Mobile Order it for breakfast this morning, it wasn’t listed on the menu at the restaurant.
Of course, we had to try the French Toast Bread Pudding at The Mara to see how it compares to the one served at Boma. And we’re happy to report that it tasted like the original we remember from Boma!
Since it was only available on Mobile Order, it was served in a to-go box with the vanilla bean sauce on the side, but a Cast Member also provided us with a plate when we asked.
The bread pudding is stuffed with both regular and golden raisins and it was topped with crispy cinnamon sugar pieces.
The side of vanilla bean sauce was the perfect amount to evenly cover the bread pudding.
Since the French Toast Bread Pudding wasn’t listed on the regular menu, guests walking by the restaurant might not even notice it’s there. But guests using Mobile Order can find it on the menu for $7.49.
We’ll continue to be on the lookout for other menu changes around Disney World, so stay tuned for all the latest updates!
