Disney Cruise Line has had major operations on pause for over a year now.
The company has noted hope for a return to sailing this fall and it’s made several announcements about the exciting new Disney Wish ship. Still, cancellations are still happening for Disney cruises and now there have been more cancellations.
This morning, when looking for cruise sailings in August, the search results only yielded the UK Staycation sailings and 3-night and 4-night Bahamian Cruises on the Disney Dream.
Then, Disney Cruise Line updated the Disney Cruise Line Important Travel Information Page to note another round of cancellations. The statement notes, “…it will take some time to bring our Crew back on board and prepare our ships to welcome Guests once again. Therefore, it is necessary for us to cancel [more sailings].”
The new round of cancellations affects:
- Disney Dream departures through August 6th, 2021
- Disney Fantasy departures through August 28th, 2021
- Disney Wonder departures through September 19th, 2021
- and Disney Magic departures in the US through November 4th, 2021.
If you were booked on one of the canceled sailings, you will receive an email with the next steps. Guests who have paid their reservation in full will be offered the choice of a cruise credit to be used for a future sailing or a full refund. Guests who have not paid their reservations in full will automatically receive a refund of what they have paid so far.
Guests with questions can reach out to their travel agents or, if they booked directly with Disney Cruise Line, by calling (866) 325-6685 or (407) 566-7797.
We’ll be keeping a close eye out for any other Disney Cruise Line updates. As always, stay tuned to DFB.

The Disney Cruise Line not sailing maybe a good thing they still have to practice . Make sure when it is safe for all passagers. No one wants to go on a cruise and it is not close to normal .

We are booked for the Dream sailing on August 9th. This is way too close for comfort.

My wife and I already survived one DCL cancelation, now we are booked on the Fantasy in October. We are delighted to take out 9th DCL voyage. Have tried RCL and Celebrity. You pay a lot more for DCL but in our book, it is worth it. Can’t wait to go again…. But most likely will not go on the new Wish. Seems too theme park driven for only 3-4 days. Seemed to have been designed for a land and sea vacation for kids. Too much Marvel/Frozen influence.

We booked 4 cruises last year and on I to 2021 this year and all were canceled.
We won’t even try again until they are back to cruising again.

We have a vowel renewal on the Dream in October I think it might be necessary to have a back up plan, I not sure Disney is ready, and if the other variant becomes an issue all cruises might shut down again.
