We’re back at Disney’s Animal Kingdom today to try yet another Rice Krispies “pie” treat! We’ve tried several of these pie-inspired krispies in the past, ranging from Pumpkin Pie to Cookies and Cream!
Today, we’re at Zuri’s Sweet Shop to check out the latest version of these pie-inspired Krispies Treats (along with some strawberry-inspired treats that arrived just in time for summer). If you’re a fan of Key Lime Pie, you’ll want to stick around for this review!
The Key Lime Pie Krispies Treat starts with your regular Krispies Treat pie “crust” base with a Key Lime Pie-flavored krispies treat center with a tiny dollop of icing on top and Mickey sprinkles!
We’ve loved seeing the simple yet brilliant innovation behind turning a Krispies Treat into a “pie,” and this Key Lime variation is no exception! It seriously looks just like a cute li’l slice of pie! While we like the frosting and sprinkles on top, something as simple as a citrus slice gummy wedge as a garnish could have made it even cuter!
As far as taste was concerned, be warned! We love Key Lime pie, but even this flavor was a bit strong for our taste! Even if you’re among the top Key Lime fans around, be prepared for some very intense bites.
You can pick up a “slice” of Key Lime pie at Zuri’s Sweets Shop for $5.49!
