Welcome back, DFB friends! We’re here with another What’s New at Disney’s Hollywood Studios!
And, we have plenty of updates to share with you! So, what are you waiting for? Let’s dive right on in!
Hollywood Studios Food Update
Outpost Market
In order to better accommodate guests, the Outpost Market has been using a virtual queue system in order to manage traffic at the shops in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge.
The stalls are still limited to only two parties at a time as they shop for the latest Star Wars merchandise…
…but guests are able to go maskless as the Outpost Market counts these open-air stores as outdoor locations.
Remember, though, that all other indoor stores still require guests to wear masks when they are inside the shops!
Joffrey’s in Pixar Place
During a sunny day in Disney World, there’s nothing like a great iced coffee from Joffrey’s! And, The Market in Disney’s Hollywood Studios is home to their fantastic brews near Pixar Place.
Currently, the Game Changer placard is still being advertised on the Seasonal Beverages menu. But, the new Tart & Tangy drink is also available at The Market too!
What’s your favorite kind of Joffrey’s Coffee?
Rosie’s All-American Cafe and Hollywood Scoops
After you pick up a quick lunch from Rosie’s or an ice cream sammie from Hollywood Scoops, it’s nice to cool off in the shade in the seating area near the quick-service locations! But, you’ll want to keep in mind that now there isn’t any distancing in the dining area.
So, you’ll want to make sure that you have your party together before you try to find a table, especially during the peak times of the day!
Hollywood Studios Merchandise Update
Mickey’s of Hollywood
We spotted the new Mint Ears in Disney’s Animal Kingdom this past week for $29.99, but we’ve been scoping out the full pastel collection in the parks!
And, we finally found it over at Mickey’s of Hollywood! Guests can take home the mint bucket hat for $34.99…
…mint Loungefly backpack for $90…
…mint Loungefly wristlet for $45…
….mint spirit jersey for $69.99…
…and mint mask for $12.99!
But, that wasn’t all the new merchandise we spotted!
Take a look at the FULL Mint Collection in Disney World here!
In honor of Cruella‘s release on Disney+, we also found the latest Cruella nuiMOs outfits at Mickey’s of Hollywood too! You can find all sorts of casual and dressy items, including a leather jacket, guitar tee, and jeans with red and black paneling…
…houndstooth dress, black and white striped faux fur coat, and black shoes…
…black checkered dress, leather coat, and black and white leather bow…
…and red checkered jacket and pants.
Each of these outfits are available for $17.99 in the parks and on shopDisney!
Check out all the details on the new Cruella nuIMOs outfits here!
Keystone Clothiers
Can you BELIEVE the premiere of Loki is already this week?! It feels like we’ve been counting down the days until the new show for a while now. But, if you’re looking to stock up on items inspired by the god of mischief, you can pick up the Loki Pins on the shelves at Keystone Clothiers. While most have been located behind the counters recently, now they’re out and about around the store.
Disney World may not have Avengers Campus, but Disney’s Hollywood Studios is still stocked up on all the Marvel merchandise you need! At Keystone Clothiers, we spotted the new-to-us Youth Marvel Hoodie…
…that’s made of a sweatshirt material for $34.99.
While these items may not be new, you can stock up on Spider-Man gear before you head to Disney California Adventure to ride the new WEB Slingers attraction! Along with a Spider-Man mask…
…and action figures…
…you can find the coolest items that Marvel fans of all ages will love at Keystone Clothiers.
Dark Room
We love seeing the Fab Five whenever we’re in Disney World. But, you can take their happy faces and hearts along with you around the parks with the new Mickey and Friends Pin Set! The set features cartoon designs of Donald, Goofy, Minnie, Mickey, and Chip ‘N Dale…
…as they jam out to their favorite Disney hits to kick off summer for $32.99!
Once Upon a Time
It’s pride month, everyone! And, that means we’ve been spotted rainbow things left and right around the parks. And the Tie-Dye Mickey Tote is no different! The front features Mickey’s silhouette and the Disney World logo…
…while the entirety of the tote is covered in a swirling tie-dye pattern that looks a lot like watercolor art for $39.99.
Who else is excited to celebrate Pride Month in Disney World??
Rock Around the Shop
Whether you’re playing with a band in your garage or jamming out on your own, it’s important to have an awesome set of instruments to use as you make music! So, it’s a good thing that the Drum Sticks at Rock Around the Shop are back in stock (hey, that rhymed)!
There’s only the 20th Anniversary Rock ‘N Rollercoaster version left on the shelves. But, if you’re channeling the songs of Aerosmith, we’re sure you’ll smash your next jam sesh.
Guitar players can also find themed guitar picks at the shop for $3.99, so the whole band can match!
Excuse us while we go blast some Aerosmith now…
Hollywood Studios Construction Update
Rise of the Resistance
As many attractions have been adapting their health and safety procedures, Rise of the Resistance still has a few features operating the same way. The ride vehicles currently have plexiglass on them still, and we were seated with another party like we have been recently.
However, this time we were told where to sit by Cast Members — guests weren’t asked if they were alright with sitting with another party.
We’ll continue to check back at the attractions around the park for any other updates!
Parking Lot
Speaking of Loki, we spotted the villain himself on a billboard in the Hollywood Studios parking lot to advertise the show! And, honestly, we can hardly wait to find out what happened to Loki after he stole the Tesseract at the end of Avengers: Endgame!
Who else is having a watch party with us??
Hollywood Studios Entertainment Update
Echo Lake
We had one of the cutest character experiences when we were in Disney’s Hollywood Studios this past week! While you know Goofy takes all of his fishing gear with him for his big trip with Max in A Goofy Movie, he was brushing up on his fishing skills at Echo Lake!
He got ready to cast his reel to see if there were any fish swimming in the water…
…but he didn’t seem to find any! Still, he was a great sport, and we can’t help but love him for it.
Well, it looks like we’re going to need to grab some fishing gear of our own to have an afternoon with Goofy!
Watch Goofy go fishing here!
Tower of Terror
As distancing measures have been lessened around Disney World, we saw that side-by-side lines were being used at the Tower of Terror during our visit.
More people were able to enter the queue this way, unlike the previous method with stricter distancing measures.
Once we had actually entered the attraction, we noticed that there weren’t any distancing measures in place on the loading area for the service elevators.
But, we’ll continue to be on the lookout for queue and attraction updates in Disney World soon!
Ride Queues
It was a pretty busy week in Disney’s Hollywood Studios as people made their way to their favorite attractions.
Some of the lines looked longer than they actually were as more people were able to be closer together while they waited.
But, we still saw a few of the overflow areas used at places like Toy Story Mania…
…while a few quieter attractions like Alien Swirling Saucers even attracted crowds!
But, the biggest queue we saw in Disney’s Hollywood Studios was definitely over at Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway. Umbrellas were placed outside in order to shade guests who were waiting in the extended line…
…which stretched past the attraction’s entrance and down towards the entrance to the Animation Courtyard.
Well, that’s all for this What’s New at Disney’s Hollywood Studios! We’ll catch you next time for more updates. And, if you have any questions about your upcoming Disney vacation, let us know so we can help you find the answers.
