We hope you have your sweet tooth ready!
We’re exploring Disney Springs today to check out all the latest and greatest news and we found some new treats that look, well, pretty great. Scoot on over to Vivoli il Gelato with us to try not one, not two, but THREE new gelato-y delights!
When we strolled into Vivoli il Gelato today we spotted two new bombolatos on the menu…
…and a new waffle sundae!
Let’s start with that waffle because who DOESN’T love a golden, delicious waffle covered in creamy gelato? The new item here is the Cookies and Cream Waffle for $12. This is a full waffle topped with crushed Oreos, cookies and cream gelato, and whipped cream.
OMG. This treat was SHOCKINGLY amazing. Our reporter called it one of the best she’d ever eaten. It was crispy on the outside and soft in the middle. Plus, the flavors weren’t super overwhelming with the cookies and cream.

The crushed Oreos fell into the waffle’s ridges and the gelato was light and delicious. It also comes with syrup that, when added on top, made for a delightful combo.
Overall, this treat was excellent and HUGE. Two or three people could easily share it, so even at $12, we’d say it’s a good deal. You could even eat it as a sweet breakfast!
Now, on to the bomoblatos. First up, let’s try out the Mocha Caramel Bomobolato for $9.75.
For the uninitiated, a bomobolato is an Italian doughnut and at Vivoli, they stuff ’em with gelato. This new flavor was coffee gelato, caramel sauce, and chocolate shavings in a warm Italian doughnut.
The doughnut was a little bit dry and cooled down pretty quick, but the flavor was still very good. It was sweet but nowhere near sickly. We noticed that the coffee flavor wasn’t too strong and didn’t leave an aftertaste and the caramel was very sticky.
Get ready for a messy treat, but if those flavors appeal to you, this could be a winner!
The other new bombolato was the Banana Cream Pie Bombolato for $9.75.
This treat is banana gelato, whipped cream, crushed Oreos, and chocolate sauce in an Italian doughnut.
This one had a solid serving of gelato which made it VERY drippy and messy. The banana flavor was light but we really liked how it meshed with the other flavors.
We were a bit surprised by the choice to include Oreos, but they worked with the banana and added an important textural component. We weren’t so into the whipped cream since it didn’t add too much and melted fairly quickly.
And those are the new treats at Vivoli il Gelato! As always, stay tuned to DFB for the latest Disney news and reviews!
