All throughout Disney World things are changing!
Such a Gorgeous Lobby at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge
Just today, Disney World’s new mask policy (where masks are now optional in most places for fully vaccinated guests) began, and Disney announced that fireworks will be coming back to Disney World very soon! But wait, there’s more! Now we’ve got details about when Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge will reopen.
While the Disney’s Animal Kingdom Villas — Kidani Village (some of the Disney Vacation Club Villas at the resort) have been open for a while, the standard hotel rooms at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge have not been available throughout this initial phase of Disney World’s reopening.
But soon that’s going to change!

Disney has just announced that Animal Kingdom Lodge will reopen on August 26th! Reservations will actually become available starting tomorrow — June 16th.

Disney’s Animal Kingdom Villas — Jambo House will also be reopening on August 26th, 2021.

We can only hope this means there will be news about Boma and Jiko…The Cooking Place in the future (though Disney has not made any statements regarding those restaurants yet). Keep in mind that both of those restaurants are currently closed.
Don’t forget that Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge isn’t the only hotel in Disney World that will be reopening soon. Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort and Disney’s BoardWalk Inn will also be reopening this summer.

Definitely hope Boma and Jiko open soon. I’ll throw my ticket in for Hoop De Doo at Fort Wilderness as well(a bit off topic here…sorry). We became locals in January of this year and are ecstatic with those perks and with our options compared to when we had to fly in.
