Have you heard? Fireworks are returning to Disney World!
Starting July 1st, we’re seeing Happily Ever After come back to Magic Kingdom, along with EPCOT Forever in EPCOT. And people are clearly excited — Park Pass reservations are going FAST! But the return of these nighttime spectaculars brings up other questions…namely about the After Hours BOO Bash event debuting in August.
BOO Bash is this year’s “replacement” for Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party, but it’s being marketed more as an After Hours event and less as a holiday party. However, while both Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party and select After Hours events have featured fireworks in the past, as of now, fireworks have not been announced for BOO Bash.
But should the return of fireworks change that? Well, we asked our readers on Instagram! And a whopping 93% of ya thought that yes, Disney should add fireworks to BOO Bash.
Since fireworks were a part of holiday events in the past, it’s not too surprising that most of you want to see ’em back. And considering BOO Bash tickets are considerably more expensive than they were for Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party, it would certainly give guests a little more bang for their buck.
But of course, we have to remember that BOO Bash is a completely different event than previous Halloween parties. It’s shorter, with limited entertainment options (aka we’re not seeing parades either, just cavalcades). We also haven’t heard anything about themed ride overlays or character meet-and-greets just yet. We have just heard a bit about cavalcades and a few character pop-ups. So since other elements of Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party aren’t returning (at least as of now), does that mean fireworks won’t, either?
Now, we say “as of now” because there IS a chance Disney just hasn’t announced BOO Bash fireworks yet. After all, the return of Happily Ever After and EPCOT Forever was JUST announced! We may learn about a BOO Bash fireworks show as the start of the event draws closer. But of course, there’s no guarantee.
Regardless of what actually happens, it seems like a ton of you would LOVE to see fireworks at BOO Bash! What do YOU think? Let us know in the comments — and stay tuned to our Instagram for more fun polls!

We hope they bring in live music or give us a token take away given that the Boo Bash is MORE expensive and SHORTER.

We have been to two Mickey‘s Not So Scary Halloween Party events and they were great! Trick or Treats throughout the park, the Halloween parade with Haunted Mansion grave diggers, meet and greets especially with Jack and Sally, and a spectacular Halloween fireworks show with amazing projections! The event lasted longer than the new Boo Bash event, so, they should definitely have fireworks.

Disney World should have fire works if there is only so many number of tickets s to the BOO BASH . But Disney will do it when they will and not when we want it .

My family and I will be at Disney World the last week of October. In the past we always went to the Halloween party and planned for this year. However, finding out the limited hours along with the things cut from the past we could not justify the cost!

My wife and I will be there the week of October 17th and had planned to attend the BooBash… till I saw the price. Nearly $400 for an “extra” 3 hours… we just couldn’t justify the cost. I was astounded how quickly the event was sold out on many nights. I sincerely hope this isn’t the new normal for Disney as we have another trip planned for Christmas, December 4th for 7 nights… the “new” MVMCP the same price???

Definitely think fireworks should be added to Boo Bash
