Disney World’s 50th anniversary is coming up SOON!
And there is LOTS of look forward to on the special day. October 1st marks the debut of an 18-month celebration, the grand opening of Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure and La Crêperie de Paris in EPCOT (as well as some new Food and Wine Festival booths!), and new costumes for Mickey and Minnie. As you can imagine, it’s going to be a popular time to visit the parks! And if you’re hoping to join the fun, we’ve got an update you should know about.
Guests need a Park Pass reservation in addition to a valid ticket for each day they’re visiting the parks. Park Passes for October 1st have been going FAST — but there’s still some availability! While Magic Kingdom is booked up for all tickets types, there is still availability in the other 3 parks for Theme Park Ticket Guests…
…and select Resort Hotel Guests. That means you can swing by EPCOT to visit the grand opening of Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure or chow down on some new festival eats.
However, spots for Annual Passholders are still completely full for all 4 parks.
If you DO want to make a reservation for October 1st, you’ll want to do so ASAP. These Park Passes are snatched up FAST. Now, Disney has been known to refill Park Pass availability (and has already done so for October 1st), so we might see spots open up again. We’ll let you know if they do! And lastly, if you have a Park Hopper ticket, you can Park Hop after 2PM, providing the park you want to visit isn’t at capacity.
Good luck booking those Park Passes! And stay tuned to DFB for more Disney news.

If you have APs and are staying onsite in a deluxe resort (DVC) and AP park reservations are not available, can you still get a park reservation thru the resort option? Will MDE automatically allow this?
DFB Sarah says
Bill, my understanding is that you’ll need to contact Disney directly to have them override the AP limitations. But you are able to book with your Resort stay, thus allowing you to make more DPPs.
