My husband and I were going to Disney every year but I am very sad to say this is our last trip we do not like all the changes Disney made it is to fast and to confusing my husband says Disney does not want elderly people to go, to much trouble with all the electric scooters, wheelchairs and the prices are terrible most people didn’t have the money to go before now it is awful so I must say good by to Disney wish them well and good luck ! They might be busy this year because were all trapped for so long but it will not last !

This article would have been much more appropriate as a written article rather than video – the video added nothing.

It would break my heart , my husband’s heart and our kids hearts to never go back to DisneyWorld. Yes, the Covid Pandemic has changed alot there, or was it just an excuse for them to make all of the changes, restrictions, and cancelations of rides, services, amenities, future plans, and experiences? Greed took over as did new management, new ideals, new approaches and new ways of doing business at DisneyWorld. And I will add that they forgot about people like us who are “veterans of Disney, more experienced, spent unthinkable amounts of money there, and quite knowledgable of how Disney World used to be and all the things that made it so special for us over the many years. We were the ones who stayed in the deluxe luxury hotels, dined in the finest restaurants, paid for many extra experiences and for tons of merchandise over the years. Today Disney seems to cater to a different market, a younger market, and most likely to those who might only go once or twice in their life and spend frugally, and cheaply and with limited resources. If Disney continues this self-destructive path they will eventually discourage and dissuade families like us from ever going there ever again.Your fancy-shmancy restaurants and your high end resorts, spas and special events and experiences would never be filled without people like us willing and able to pay for them…or is this what they want? I wonder at times like these…I continue to read and stay informed of these Disney fact updates on a regular basis as we try to navigate through this Pandemic and to determine if we will ever go back again to DisneyWorld. And so far we are not impressed! It breaks my heart to feel this way!

I agree, it’s going to be hard for older people and large families. And expensive, they get left out. It’s just sad and I think Walt would agree.

I have to agree with previous comments – fellow Disney veterans. We have been going to WDW every year since 2002 with our children. My husband and I went a few times together before that and my family would spend a day at WDW when we could afford a vacation going back to the 70″s. We have seen so many changes over for the years usually all involving price increases but we happily paid the price since it was “Disney” and it was our family vacation. Within the last few years SO much more has changed -not just price increases but the taking away of things that we loved so much. We switched from a moderate to a value resort after more than 10 years so that we could continue to enjoy the magic. We have never stayed at a deluxe and will never be able to afford one. COVID restrictions were a big game changer and we mostly applauded WDW for being cautious. We cancelled our 2020 trip and our 2021 trip as well as we still do not feel safe even stepping foot in the state of Florida. But with the removal of events, Magical Express, Fast Pass, Dining Plan. character meet and greets, as well as more recent changes…we are starting to think twice about the money we spend for the Magic…or what’s left of it. We have a short trip planned for April and our family trip planned for July 2022. We will pay the prices and see how it goes. Then we will decide if there are better vacation options. We will be so sorry and yes, our hearts will be broken but WDW can’t keep nickel and diming us and while continuing to take more things away.

Marisa and family from Canada. I agree completely with what you have to say. My family and I have been to Disney 28 times since 1984 with children and grandchildren. Ten vacations at the Polynesian. Unfortunately we cannot afford that today. I wish Disney would change some decisions they have made. Start with a little change. I know the Magical Express is gone in 2022 but can Disney continue picking up luggage from the airport and bringing it to our hotel and then taking the luggage from our hotel back to the airport . This would make it so much easier for everyone.
