Jock Lindsey’s Hangar Bar in Disney Springs is a great place to go if you want a little adventure with your drinks!
If you’re a big Indiana Jones fan, you’ll know that this bar is named after his pilot in Raiders of the Lost Ark, Jock Lindsey. We just found out that the bar is bringing back a super fun item for a limited time: The Bacon of Doom! So of course, we had to rush on over to Jock Lindsey’s to give it a try!
This is the Bacon of Doom! The name is a little intimidating, but it’s just the bar’s Temple of Bacon dish a little more jazzed up!
It features thick-cut applewood-smoked bacon dipped in milked chocolate and chipotle ganache from the delicious Ganachery at Disney Springs!
The difference with the Bacon of Doom is that it’s served with your choice of a shareable smoked cocktail! Uh, yes, please!!
You can choose between the Trusty Revolver, which has Bulleit Rye Whiskey, Tipplers Orange Liqueur, and Luxardo Cherries, or the Snake Bite Margarita, which is Herradura Reposado Tequila, Ancho Reyes Chile Liqueur, and Tipplers Orange Liqueur, with Sweet-and-Sour, and Lime Juice. Both cocktails are smoked and served with an ice sphere.
We chose the Trusty Revolver as our cocktail, and the presentation was SO EXCITING. They completely cover up the drink and bacon with a large glass lid and fill it with smoke.
Then, the lid is lifted and the cocktail and bacon are revealed!
Here’s a full look at the lid coming off!

The Trusty Revolver was really good, it was smooth with a slight hint of the orange liqueur and the Bulleit Whiskey was so tasty.
However, the drink IS meant to be shared, it’s a lot for just one person, so be careful!

Moving on to the bacon, it had great heat from the chipotle ganache and the bits of bacon and salt sprinkled on top were such a decadent touch, we loved it!
The milk chocolate gives you the perfect mix of salty and sweet, and the heat from the chipotle ganache really takes the bacon up a notch.
This dish is $32, so while that may seem a little pricey, you are technically getting the bacon plus two cocktails, since the drink is big enough to easily be shared. We think the price is worth the whole experience of the smoke presentation and delicious bacon! If you want to try the Bacon of Doom, it’s only available until September 6th, so act fast!! I had the Temple of Bacon two years ago (no beverage) and it was great, worth whatever the price. The Bacon of Doom sounds perfect, too. Thanks.

Wow, this looks awesome! — would love to try it, but won’t be to WDW until November. If you go back to JLs Hangar Bar soon, ask them to keep this until the end of F&W Festival in Nov! Also agree about relative cost value — for $32 for 2+ drinks plus 6 large pieces of bacon covered in top-notch chocolate with chipotle ganache and with an incredible presentation, this seems a pretty reasonable value compared to anything at Olga’s or Trader Sam’s or other WDW bars.
