Another week has gone by in Disney World, Disneyland, and Disney parks all over the world…and what a week it has been!!
This week, we got a HUGE update on fireworks, saw some big distancing and mask policy changes in action, and more. If you’re looking for all the latest Disney news from this past week, with updates you NEED to know about, we’ve got it right here for you!
1. Fireworks Are Coming BACK
Fireworks have been suspended in Disneyland and Disney World since their re-openings. But, soon that will all be changing! In July, fireworks will be returning to both Walt Disney World and Disneyland!
In Disney World, fireworks will return on July 1st to Magic Kingdom (with Happily Ever After) and EPCOT (with EPCOT Forever). You can see the hours for these fireworks shows in July by clicking here. Park Passes have been filling up for July 1st (and some days following that), so be sure to get your Park Passes as soon as you can!
In Disneyland, fireworks will return on July 4th with Mickey’s Mix Magic show.

2. Lots of Changes With Masks, Distancing, and More
Last week, we mentioned some of the changes Disney had made recently when it comes to masks and distancing, but this week we got to see the changes in action AND we got to see new changes being made.
We got a look at this new policy in action this week — notice how the guests no longer have their masks on inside of this Disney World store.
At Disneyland, a similar rule was both announced and put into action this week. Now, masks are no longer required at Disneyland Resort for fully vaccinated guests in most locations just like at Disney World. Notice how some of the guests in Disneyland’s World of Disney store are not wearing masks indoors.
Keep in mind that both Disney World and Disneyland are not requiring proof of vaccination. However, guests who are not fully vaccinated are expected to follow the policies that specifically apply to guests who are not vaccinated, which require them to continue to wear their masks indoors and in select other locations.
But, this past week we saw more changes aside from mask policy adjustments. We also saw distancing markers removed from MANY ride queues in Disney World.
Two pre-shows in Disney World that had temporarily been suspended have resumed. The pre-shows at Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway and DINOSAUR have both returned!
We’ve also noticed that Disney World has been seating guests in every single row on many attractions once again. Some social distancing language has been removed from the Walt Disney World website, dressing rooms are starting to reopen in Disney World, and arcades have started to reopen in Disney World too.
Even the seating arrangements on the Monorails have changed, with standing room now being allowed and some distancing barriers removed. We expect things will continue to change in the upcoming weeks and months, so be sure to look for updated signs during your trip and stay tuned to us here at DFB for more updates.

3. More Restaurants, Hotels, and Rides Are Reopening
At both Disney World and Disneyland, lots of things reopened this week or had their future reopening dates announced this week!
Let’s tackle Disney World first. In Disney World, we already shared that ‘Ohana will be reopening soon, but this past week we got to see the full breakfast menu for ‘Ohana as well as the drink menu for breakfast and dinner.
Also in Disney World, the Maya Grill in Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort has set a reopening date and we’ve got a look at the menu.

At Disneyland, there’s been a lot of reopening news too! Reopening dates have been announced for 11(!!!) Disneyland rides, and Disney’s Paradise Pier Hotel at Disneyland Resort reopened this past week.
The Disneyland Band is set to return to Disneyland today (June 18th), a new dining experience is coming to Lamplight Lounge called Lamplight Lounge — Boardwalk Dining and reopening dates have also been announced for 6 MORE Disneyland restaurants!
Also, this week Wine Country Trattoria and Oga’s Cantina both reopened! It’s been a busy week for those in Disneyland and those planning upcoming trips. We’ll continue to keep an eye out for more reopening news.

4. BOO BASH Tickets Are Available for Everyone to Get…And Starting to Sell Out!
Last week, BOO BASH tickets became available for select resort hotel guests to purchase in advance. But now BOO Bash tickets are available for anyone to snag!
If you want to attend BOO Bash and haven’t already bought your tickets, you’ll want to do so quickly! More dates were previously announced for this event, but several dates have already sold out and we expect more will continue to sell out in the upcoming days and weeks. Just keep in mind that BOO BASH isn’t a real Halloween party, it’s an After Hours event.

5. Every Disney Theme Park Around the World Is Open for the First Time in MONTHS
This past week, Disneyland Paris reopened! And with that, every single Disney theme park around the world is now open (at the same time) for the first time in months!!
While many things remain closed at the Disney parks, it is still a massive milestone to have all of the parks open once again.
