If you’ve been to Disney World recently, you probably used the My Disney Experience app a LOT!
You may have used the app to check the wait times, make dining reservations, use mobile check-in, check for walk-up waitlist availability at your favorite restaurants, shop in Disney World’s stores, or do other things! Well, now we’ve spotted an update that has been made to the app.
Recently, an update became available for the My Disney Experience app. The Apple app store notes that in this latest version you can view and update your profile image quicker and Disney has added some extra excitement to the home screen with new header images! And that’s precisely what we saw when we downloaded the update.
Now, the homepage has a new header image featuring Mickey balloons with the icons of each of the parks on the outside, and you’ve got quick access to your profile image so you can change it up as much as you want.
We especially love how it asks “what memories will you make?” If you don’t see this updated screen on your app, be sure to check your phone’s app store and see if you can download the update.
There are all kinds of things you can do through the My Disney Experience app that you might not have even realized you can do, like look for nearby restrooms or even look for coin press machines!

June 2021- We just returned from nine wonderful whirlwind days in WDW! We did it ALL! As much as I love Disney and Disney parks, I am ready to jump OFF the Disney Mobile device train. As I looked around all the crowds of park goers, across busy hotel lobbies, on transportation and waiting for seating in restaurants, I became disgusted with all of the Mobile phone fixation. Rather than talking or enjoying our surroundings, Disney is forcing all of our faces downward onto our phone screens- like Zombies- it’s so disgusting. I will never again pay thousands and thousands of dollars to use my cell phone 4+ times each and every time I want to order food, experiences, simple beverages or snacks. And that was WITHOUT FastPass being up and running. I’m sad like any breakup, but I’m done with Disney!
