Before the Disneyland Resort parks reopened, Disney announced that the Disneyland Annual Passholder program would be discontinued.
When the announcement was made, Disneyland President Ken Potrock said that new membership offerings were in development that would provide, “choice, flexibility, and value for our biggest fans.” Recent comments from Disney executives indicate that these new membership options could be close to making their debut.
Deadline reports that Josh D’Amaro, chairman of Disney Parks, Experiences and Products, recently stated that a replacement Disneyland membership program was coming “relatively soon.”
Disneyland President Ken Potrock also recently commented on the replacement program in Disneyland, saying the Resort would “clearly be launching something by the end of the year.” He also said the new program will be heavily influenced by guest demand and experience, and that park officials are evaluating research performed earlier this year.
This supports another statement made by D’Amaro, that the new program “will reflect the behavior of our superfans.”
Disney leadership has said that the new membership program is part of a larger initiative to reimagine the parks with a vision of what guests want moving forward.
We’ll continue to be on the lookout for more updates on the upcoming Disneyland membership program, so stay tuned for all of the latest details.

The old passes already offered “choice, flexibility, and value”. So why they screwed over their biggest loyalist dedicated fans is still a mystery to me, other than corporate greed.

I hope this includes a flex ticket for children. We usually bring a plus 1 with our family. Each year I have to pick which of my 4 nephews get a Disney pass for Christmas. Additionally local foster parents could have different kids on their house every 3 months. It’s just not practical to buy a non-transferable pass for all of these different kids. But if there was a flex ticket for children adding a plus one to your monthly visit would be practical.

I am so disheartened by the way Disneyland is handling its loyal and dedicated AP’s – I am treated far better by Disneyworld and have taken to traveling to Florida more frequently because they have continued to honor/renew their passes. Why in the world Disneyland is screwing us is beyond me – makes no sense that AP’s have not been alllowed in parks and we have to purchase very expensive day tickets – at least if you were to allow us to purchase day tickets and use those monies towards a future annual pass, at least we could be IN THE PARKS now vs waiting for Disneyland to role out this new program

After being an Annual Passholder for over 20 years, I sure hope they come up with an amazing new pass for us Super Fans to purchase. Maybe they can hurry and have it available before the Holidays arrive.
Please hurry and make the passes on sale!

I totally feel like Disneyland has turned their back on all AP’s. We were the most loyal and dedicated fans. We supported them through this entire pandemic, we did whatever we could to help get DLR reopened, I cant tell you have many petitions I personally signed, just to get left in the dust. I was totally ok with them revamping the program. But here we sit 6 months later, parks are open, restrictions lifted and we still have NOTHING!!!! I have never felt so UNVALUED by a company before. It’s a gigantic slap in the face by the executives. My trust and faith in Disneyland is slipping FAST!!!
