We’ve said it before, Wine Bar George is the one Disney World restaurant that’s practically perfect according to just about everyone!
With dishes like crispy mac & cheese bites and Saganaki on Fire, there’s a lot to love here. But, recently we stopped by Wine Bar George to check out something NEW — their updated cocktail menu featuring some unique selections!
For reference, here’s a peek at what the Cocktails menu used to look like. This screenshot is from around August of 2020.
And here’s a look at their updated cocktails menu!
You’ll notice a few of the older drinks have stuck around including The Hoot, American 75 (although now it notes its made with some sparking wine and lemon), and the Wake Up Call. The Wine Bar George Old Fashioned was also added to the menu last year (but not pictured in our original screenshot above) and has also stuck around.
But, a few NEW drinks have arrived including the Forbidden Zombie, Harvester, The Traveler, and more.Â
So, during our last trip to Wine Bar George, we decided to grab something old and something new (now we just need something borrowed and something blue!).
First up, the Wake Up Call. This is a returning cocktail. This drink is made with Espresso-infused Barsol Pisco and Caffe Borghetti Espresso Liqueur and it’s priced at $15.
It’s essentially a espresso martini, but for this particular version of the drink Wine Bar George uses Pisco which is an unaged brandy. This drink features coffee that’s brewed in-house, so that gives it a nice touch. They also have an espresso device where the Pisco slowly gets brought in from the top which is pretty neat.
This drink is DEFINITELY for coffee lovers though. We felt like it had a stronger coffee taste compared to your usual espresso martini. But, the taste itself is very smooth.
Next, we got one of the new drinks — the Forbidden Zombie. This drink is made with Ilegal Anejo Mezcal, Kasama Filipino Rum, Triple Sec, Domaine Canton Lime, and Cinnamon. There’s a limit of 2 per person with this drink. The Cast Member told us that limit was put in place because it is reportedly the strongest drink on their menu!
We thought this drink was delicious! The fruity and tangy flavors were wonderful, and overall it tasted really refreshing (especially nice for a hot Florida day).
You do taste that cinnamon in there though. It’s not overbearing, but if you absolutely hate cinnamon then you might want to skip on this one.
The biggest thing you should know about this drink though is its price. The Forbidden Zombie will set you back $30! The bartender told us that a big reason for that price tag is the quality of the alcohol that goes into the drink combined with its potency. So just keep that price tag in mind before you order this one.
If you’re looking to try some new drinks or you’re just a big fan of Wine Bar George, now you can stop by to check out their updated cocktails menu!
We’ll keep an eye out for more menu changes all over Disney World and let you know what we find.
