We’ve got BIG news for those traveling to Disney World later this year!

As you’ve probably heard, Disney World will be celebrating its 50th Anniversary this year. On October 1st, 2021 the 18 MONTH-long festivities will begin for “The World’s Most Magical Celebration“. The celebration includes special transformations coming to the parks’ icons, new outfits for Mickey & Minnie, and a whole lot more. And now, we’ve got MORE BIG NEWS about the Anniversary!!!
Disney World just announced that The World’s Most Magical Celebration will feature a BRAND-NEW nighttime spectacular in Magic Kingdom called Disney Enchantment!
Time for a NEW Fireworks Show!
According to Disney, this show was created to launch with “The World’s Most Magical Celebration,” and it will take guests “on a journey filled with adventure, wonder and empowerment,” inspiring everyone to believe in magic.
During “Disney Enchantment” you’ll get to enjoy “music, enhanced lighting, stunning fireworks and, for the first time, immersive projection effects that extend from Cinderella Castle down Main Street, U.S.A.”

This new 50th Anniversary show won’t debut in Magic Kingdom until October 1st, so you’ll have to wait a little bit longer to check it out!

Will this be permanently replacing the Happily Ever After fireworks?
Heidi, I don’t believe Disney used definitive language about that, so we can’t say for 100% sure. Because Disney Enchanted would likely run the full 18 months of the 50th celebration, I feel like it could go either way. When Disney makes that clear (or, I guess, after the 50th celebration is done…) we will report!
