Disney World crowd levels have certainly changed over the past few months.
With changes to capacity limitations and the continued use of the Disney Park Pass theme park reservation system, we’ve been keeping a close eye on the number of people in the Disney World parks. Well, today we noticed a SURPRISING crowd level in Disney’s Hollywood Studios!Â
We noticed a sizable volume of people pouring into Disney’s Hollywood Studios this morning, although we wouldn’t say it was a particularly higher level. At least, we wouldn’t say that at FIRST.
We quickly noticed that wait times in the park were pretty high. As of 11:30AM, many wait times were sitting just under or above an hour long. Whew!
And the crowd levels became super apparent when we stepped into Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge. WOW. These are some serious crowds! The congestion here stems from the fact that the Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run queue no longer stretches backstage, but it’s still shocking. If you’re still feeling apprehensive about being in crowded areas, this is something to keep in mind!Â
We’ll continue to keep an eye on crowd levels in Disney World in the coming months especially as we head into summer and gear up for Disney World’s 50th Anniversary. As always, stay tuned to DFB for the latest updates!

Have you heard ANYTHING about dessert parties returning since fireworks are coming back? And if capacity keeps going up, fast passes. It’s rapidly becoming a bummer not to have fast passes.
DFB Sarah says
Jill, unfortunately Disney hasn’t released info on these two topics, but we will report as soon as they do.

Hi! Any word on the Canadian ticket discount?

We were there this morning too! It didn’t seem that bad to me. I think the capacity cap is really helping make it manageable. The lines were longer than usual because three main shows that pull massive crowds are closed. Also Launch Bay is still closed and that used to pull traffic as well. I’d say I’m living for no fastpass and reduced capacity Disney. I know that will never happen but a girl can dream!
DFB Sarah says
Jo, not that I know of.
