What’s a trip to Disney World without stopping in at the Magic Kingdom?
We’ve made a few visits to Disney’s flagship park over the past few days and now we’re bringing you an update on everything NEW in construction and merchandise! Let’s dive in!
Magic Kingdom Construction Updates
Transportation and Ticket Center
First up, let’s talk about construction! We noticed that the Ferry Boat from the Transportation and Ticket Center to Magic Kingdom was loading very similar to the way it loaded prior to the park closures. It was fairly crowded with no social distancing markers.
As a reminder, masks are not currently required on the Ferry but they are on other forms of transportation.
Various Locations
In the park, we spotted that there’s been some change with the Fastpass kiosks. Some are still covered but some have been uncovered. We spotted uncovered kiosks in Tomorrowland and by the Jungle Cruise.
The set of kiosks by Stitch’s Great Escape was uncovered…
…and one was on! We held up our MagicBand and it lit up and made that familiar “da-ding” noise, but nothing happened on the screen. What could it mean!?
Big Thunder Mountain Railroad
On Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, we spotted that plexiglass had been removed and distancing has been significantly reduced.

Brian Hester says
Why do I have this sinking feeling (Jungle Cruise pun) that these are being set up only in some locations because that’s where those attractions are going to become virtual queues (Space Mountain, Jungle Cruise)? And that the FastPass terminals are going to become virtual queue terminals for guest who don’t have a phone?
