Are YOU prepared for Florida weather?
If you’re headed to Disney World next week, you need to be! The weather in Orlando is notorious for throwing curveballs, but we want you to be ready for whatever the week holds. So, here’s next week’s weather forecast and how to be ready for it!Â
Weather Forecast
According to The Weather Channel, we’re going to see pretty similar weather to what we’ve been seeing. Summer is certainly here with hot temperatures and stormy afternoons!
Last week brought us almost-daily thunderstorms and it doesn’t look like that’s going to change as we say goodbye to June and hello to July. Here’s what you can expect!
June 28th
Monday, June 28th will start the week with middling temperatures for the week. This week will primarily hang out in the high 80s and low 90s, just like the last few weeks, so it will be toasty. Monday is going to max out at an 89-degree high and we’ll see 74 degrees at night.
And yep, get ready for those scattered storms! These can crop up SUPER suddenly, so don’t get caught off-guard by an out-of-nowhere downpour.
June 29th
The next day, June 29th brings us a very similar forecast to the day before with a high of 88 degrees during the day and keeping that low down at a comfy 74 degrees.
This week also has some notable UV Index days so be sure to wear your sunscreen! Extreme UV levels can be hard on the skin.
June 30th
On Wednesday, June 30th, we’re going to see temps edge down just a little bit to 87 degrees during the day. Your low is going to stick with 74 degrees.
Whew! This day has some high humidity! If you didn’t know, humidity can make it seem HOTTER than it is. You’ll likely find yourself feeling a little hot this week.
July 1st
For Thursday, July 1st, we’re seeing a day that is almost EXACTLY the same as the day before. Expect temps in the high-80s and a beautiful evening at 74 degrees.
One thing to note is that we get a lot of daylight here in Orlando. The sun rises around 6:30AM and sets around 8:30 PM. Right now, you get to take advantage of some of the longest days of the whole year!
July 2nd
The week continues with another similar day (Honestly, we’re getting suspicious at how consistent these predictions are). We’ll see high-80s in the day and a mid 70s night on July 2nd.
Keep in mind that these days that have rain in the forecast don’t necessarily guarantee you’ll see precipitation, but it is likely! It’s almost like the rain knows you’re trying to stay dry during your vacation.
July 3rd
Saturday, July 3rd brings us warmer temps with a high in the low-90s. You could see some rain on Saturday too!
Here, we’ll see a 91-degree high and a 76-degree low.
July 4th
And we’ll wrap up our week on July 4th with the warmest temperatures and yet another day where you could see some rain.
Well, at least the week is consistent!
Overview of the Week
Here is a full overview of the week according to The Weather Channel. Temperatures are projected to hang out in about the same place for the whole week. We’re looking at a range of 80s to 90s highs and 70s lows.

When you’re headed to Disney World. you might not be thinking about safety concerns but everyone should be prepared for long days and hot temperatures. Your body might not be used to walking miles in high heat, so you need to be careful!
To make sure you don’t end up dehydrated or with heat exhaustion, drink a LOT of water, wear sunscreen and sunglasses, and take breaks when you need! The Florida sun can be pretty unforgiving!

Stay dry in the rain!
Though rain might not pose as much of a threat to your health, it does pose a significant threat to your comfort! Storms in Florida are aggressive and sudden in many instances so it’s easier than you think to end up soaked!
Pack a rain layer and make sure it’s easily accessible in your park bag. If you feel like it’s going to rain, it probably will so snag that layer out and get ready! Keep in mind that covered and indoor spaces will get really crowded when it starts coming down.
