One of the things we’ve missed most at Disney World over the past year is the fireworks.
And yes, we’ve spent countless hours watching video of the last Happily Ever After on YouTube — we’ve got that video on repeat. So you can imagine how happy we were when Disney announced that fireworks would return to Disney World on July 1st — that’s just a few days away, folks!
Sure, we’ve caught some fireworks testing, but now that we have a date for the actual nighttime shows returning, Disney is preparing to light up the skies with more testing. And for those who live or will be near Magic Kingdom tonight, you’re going to hear some familiar whizz, bang, and booming sounds. Because Disney World is testing fireworks TONIGHT.
A post on the Walt Disney World Cast and Community Facebook Page outlined some details about the fireworks testing being done after park hours tonight (as well as on Tuesday, June 29th):
How exciting! And we’ll let you know about any other fireworks testing that happens before July 1st, too — and you can bet we’ll be bringing you along ON THE DAY seeing fireworks once more at both Magic Kingdom and EPCOT.
