While many experiences have returned to Disney World since reopening, one BIG perk has been missing.
That’s Early Entry for Disney World resort guests! The perk allows guests staying at Disney World hotels to enter the theme parks BEFORE regular guests. Disney recently announced that Early Theme Park Entry would be replacing the former Extra Magic Hours, and now we’re getting a peek at what this revamped perk will look like!
We already know that Early Theme Park Entry will let Disney World resort guests enter each theme park prior to park opening.
This new system is set to begin on Disney World’s 50th anniversary on October 1st of this year along with the kick-off of 50th Anniversary celebrations!
The offering will give Disney World Resort hotel guests 30-minute early entry into EVERY theme park EVERY day to enjoy select attractions, merchandise, and food and beverage locations.
Guests will need a valid Disney Park Pass for the park that they enter for Early Theme Park Entry.
These guests will be the first each day to take in that EAR-idescent theming for the 50th! Those attending should bring their Resort ID (MagicBand, Keys to the World Card, etc.).

I wonder if this will include the partner hotels?
Essie says
Will it include the poor people hotels?
Kim says
So, the resort guests coming before October 1st get no extended or early hours perks… even though are paying the same money? I find that a bit crazy, considering this a perk that is not difficult for Disney to accommodate.
Jenn says
I really think I’m getting screwed by staying in september
Rich says
How about partner hotels like Swan/Dolphin?
Al says
I wonder if they will allow Passholders to enter early also the way Universal does

Disney early entry to guest hotels on property October 1 .Disney should do it tomorrow why wait give the people some thing high prices is not it . Disney will do it in October to make the 50 Anniversary special it is a very slow time or the year. They need the crowds back and it is a slow time of the year Oct . This is Disney way to make real money to have a special 18 months of business . I have nothing against Disney but long time Disney fans should get better than what Disney is giving .
Jabroniville says
Sweet! But now I’m wondering HOW early it will be. Especially considering it no longer matters which day you arrive. A half-hour? An hour? Hopefully they release full info soon!
DFB Sarah says
Rich, we’d expect Swan and Dolphin to be included in Early Theme Park Entry.
DFB Sarah says
Essie, it will include all Disney Resort hotels.
