Disney World resorts have gotten some major updates lately!
Disney just announced Early Theme Park Entry and Extended Evening Hours, rooms are getting refurbished at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort, Disney’s Contemporary Resort, and Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort, AND we got a reopening date for Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge! But now, it’s time for another Disney World Resort to reopen!
The day is finally here — Disney’s BoardWalk Inn is fully open! Although Disney Vacation Club rooms have been available at the resort for a while now, Disney announced that the entire resort would reopen on July 2nd. So it’s one of those weird opening twice situations.
Lobby
The lobby has been open for a while since DVC guests have been staying here.
We’ll take any excuse to walk around this gorgeous space, though!
Dining
There are TONS of dining options when it comes to dining at the BoardWalk! It is full of quick-service and table-service options — there’s a restaurant for basically everyone!
Trattoria al Forno, Big River Grille, ESPN Club, and Flying Fish Cafe are some of your table service options on the BoardWalk.
You can also grab some quick meals or snacks at the Pizza Window, BoardWalk To-Go Cart, Boardwalk Joe’s Marvelous Margaritas, or the BoardWalk Bakery!
No matter what you’re in the mood for, the BoardWalk probably has it. The amount of dining options in one place is a huge perk about staying at the BoardWalk!
Shopping
Screen Door General Store is the main shopping destination at the BoardWalk Inn!
The store has been open for a while, too.
Outdoor and Pool Areas
There are a few pools at the BoardWalk Inn — the Luna Park Pool and some quiet pools! The infamous clown slide got a major refurbishment a few months ago, but now the pool and newly designed slide are open for guests.
If you’ve been wanting to stay at the BoardWalk Inn, now you can! As hotels, restaurants, attractions, and other experiences continue to reopen, we’ll keep you updated on the latest from the Disney Parks.

I’ve never liked to stay at Boardwalk Inn for their lack of eating places. I know you can go to the boardwalk, but I’d rather not leave the resort until I’m ready to get to the parks. Belle Vue Lounge helped, but they need something like Beach Club Marketplace and Market at Ale and Compass.

We loved the boardwalk- nice rooms, fast entrance to Epcot and transportation. We specifically cancelled this last years trip because it was closed. We have been to Disney about 8 xs
