Disney’s Paradise Pier Hotel and Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa have both reopened at Disneyland Resort, and today the Disneyland Hotel finally joined them and reopened as well!
A number of restaurants will reopen with the Disneyland Hotel (including the fan-favorite Trader Sam’s Enchanted Tiki Bar). But, those staying at the Disneyland Hotel will also be treated to something NEW — some new carpet designs, upgraded beds, and more in the hotel’s guest rooms. Today, we got the chance to see one of these updated rooms and now we’re sharing a room tour with you!
Previously, Disney announced that some changes had been made to the rooms at the Disneyland Hotel, as well as other guest areas. The guest rooms now have a new fireworks-inspired design in the carpet. There are also upgraded platform beds in the rooms to help guests maximize storage.Â
For reference, here’s what a room at the Disneyland hotel looked like before.
And here’s what one looks like now (granted this is a room with 2 beds as opposed to 1, but you get the idea).
That’s quite the difference! Okay, let’s start at the beginning though.
Here’s a peek at the room’s door (from inside the room).
And here’s one of the first views you’ll get of the room.
Let’s head to the bathroom.
Of course, you’ve got your classic Disney soaps here.
And there’s some space under the vanity for you to store your things.
Here’s a peek at the tub/shower.
See the hidden Mickeys in the tiles?
And what about that Mickey hand lamp?!
Who out there would just LOVE to have that in their home?
There’s a separate area for the toilet to the side.
Next, let’s take a look at what the room has in terms of coffee and tea (which can be VERY essential during a Disneyland trip). There’s a coffee machine in the room as well as cups…
…and a variety of coffee and tea options.
The room also has a closet with an extra pillow/blanket, an ironing board, hangers, and more.
There’s also a safe in the room for you to store any valuables.
Okay, into the main room!
First, you’ll encounter that desk and chair set. If you’ve got to do some remote work or send a few emails, this is a great little spot.
And check out that lamp — anyone see a hidden Mickey?
After that you’ll find a little dresser with some drawers.
And behind one of the areas there, you’ll find a mini fridge to store your bottles of water and snacks.
Above that storage area you’ll find a TV, and to the side there is a couch.
If you want to just do some relaxing in the room, you can take a seat here and chill.
But, what’s great about the couch is that it folds open and transforms into another sleeping space. This is great for larger families who need that extra spot.
By the way, don’t forget to look all around the room for unique pieces of art, awesome photos, and more showcasing things related to the Disneyland parks.
In one corner of the room, you’ll find a chair with a lamp. The lamp appears to be the same or similar to the lamp that was there before but this chair appears to be somewhat different than the one we had seen previously. Also, the curtains now have a different pattern.
And here’s a look at those two main beds and the main room space. While the large back headboard has remained the same, with that gorgeous fireworks design, there are some updated linens on the beds.
The carpet design is also different. Instead of the swirls from before, the carpet now features a design covered in fireworks, stars, and some hidden Mickeys too!
The bed frames have also been updated so that there is now storage space underneath them. You can slide your luggage or other bags down there to help free up other space around the room.
What do you think of the refreshed and updated design in the hotel rooms at the Disneyland Hotel?
