Disney World at Thanksgiving is a great time to find amazing themed snacks around the parks!
Many restaurants offer special dishes for Thanksgiving at Disney, so you’ll want to save the date for when you can start making dining reservations for the big day!
If you’re planning to be in Disney World for Thanksgiving day, you probably want to sit down to a Thanksgiving meal at some point! You’ll need a reservation for most sit-down restaurants in Disney World, and you can start making those reservations 60 days in advance!
For Thanksgiving day, the date to remember is September 26 this year! Starting around 5:45AM EST on that day, you can make dining reservations online for your Disney vacation! The phone lines tend to open a little later, but ofter present a bit of a wait. We’d recommend being ready to reserve your spot as soon as the clock strikes that time because dining reservations go fast for big days like Thanksgiving!
If you don’t get the reservation you really want, we’d recommend making another (take your option B!) and keeping an eye out for reservations to open up at your first choice! It’s not guaranteed that more will open (and for busy times, they likely won’t), but it’s possible and worth trying! We wish you all the best in getting your favorite reservations! And don’t forget: September 26th at 5:45AM EST!

Tara says
AJ, when does Disney put out a list of places that will have a traditional Thanksgiving dinner or is it just Liberty Tree Tavern that does that? Its our first Disney Thanksgiving trip. Thanks!
DFB Sarah says
Tara, as the holiday approaches, restaurants typically publish their Thanksgiving offerings online. We report on them, so keep your eyes peeled!
Bob C says
AJ! When did Thanksgiving celebration get bumped up to SEPTEMBER 26th?
DFB Sarah says
Bob, it didn’t, but with Advance Dining Reservations being made only 60 days in advance now, you’d need to make your holiday reservation on September 26.
Andrew Maier says
I see that Wispering Canyon Cafe is not offering dinner on Thanksgiving, are they just waiting, or will it not be there this year?
DFB Sarah says
Andrew, I think we’re still waiting on most Thanksgiving announcements and info. We will report on menus and announcements as they’re released.
