Y’all know that Black Widow comes out TOMORROW, right??
We found a tasty way to celebrate the premiere with Black Widow-themed food in Disney World! Just a heads-up: the burger tasted way better than it looks!
D-Luxe Burger in Disney Springs is famous for their gourmet burgers, hand-cut fries, and artisanal gelato shakes! And now, for a limited time, D-Luxe Burger has a Black Widow Burger and a Black Widow Shake! We stopped by to try them both today!
Once we got inside D-Luxe Burger, we found both limited-time Black Widow foods on their menu!
The Black Widow Burger is $13.49, and the Black Widow Shake is $9.99.
We ordered both! On the Black Widow Burger, there’s a Beef Patty with Widow’s Bite Scotch Bonnet Sauce and Ninja Radish Slaw. It also comes with more classic fixin’s like Cheddar Cheese, Lettuce, Tomato, and Grilled Onions.
What makes the burger really unique is the bun is dyed black! Kinda weird looking. But it’s not even an ordinary black bun…
…because it has Black Widow’s symbol on top! The emblem is made with a pimento pepper in the bun! It might not be the most appetizing look in the world…but it certainly fits the theme! We thought the burger was really delicious! The Ninja Radish Slaw and Widow’s Bite Scotch Bonnet Sauce especially were super tasty and had a spicy kick to them! They weren’t overpoweringly spicy, but you could tell the heat was there!
The flavor was awesome and really strong in the burger! The patty itself was super juicy, although we could’ve used a little more white cheddar cheese! We thought the onions were more pickled than grilled, but we enjoyed them! If you’re a fan of spicy food, we think you’d love this burger! If you’re not a very adventurous eater, though, you might prefer one of the more tame burger options on the menu!
Next, we tried the Black Widow Shake! This shake is Vanilla Gelato blended with Morello Cherry Purée, Cayenne Pepper, and Lime with layers of Chocolate Chiffon Cake. It’s topped with a Red Velvet Cake Pop!
Honestly, we weren’t big fans of this shake. The cherry flavor mixed with the Cayenne Pepper was not a great combination to us. We might have liked it better without the Cayenne Pepper, but the flavors just didn’t seem to mix well with each other.
The shake wasn’t super spicy from the pepper, but you could taste the Cayenne, especially in the aftertaste. We’re thinking a better combo would’ve been a Chocolate Gelato shake with the Cayenne Pepper? Are you taking suggestions, D-Luxe? Also, be aware that all the black sugar on the cake pop and rim of the shake WILL turn your teeth and tongue black!
We thought the red velvet cake pop was pretty good! It was very rich for being a small cake pop, but it had too much of the black sugar on it for our taste! In general, we give two thumbs up to the Black Widow Burger, but we might pass on the Black Widow Shake next time!
