Did you hear Disney’s announcement about the new Worlds of Marvel dining experience onboard the Disney Wish cruise ship?
The Wish will have a lot of new and exciting things, like new restaurants and the first-ever Disney ride at sea! Now, Disney has announced two MORE dining options onboard the luxurious cruise ship!
First of all, the Marceline Market is coming to the Wish! The market is named after Marceline, Missouri, Walt Disney’s childhood hometown! The market is inspired by international marketplaces all over the world and designed to look like an industrial loft that has been converted to a busy marketplace!
There will be 10 food stations and a cafe-style beverage bar in the center. These aren’t just ordinary food stations, though: each is has a Disney animated movie theme! Some of the themes we’ll see include Tangled, Ratatouille, Alice in Wonderland, and Zootopia! At each station, menus will feature specials that change throughout the voyage, including seafood, comfort foods, bakery items, classic American dishes, vegetarian options, soups, salads, and more! The Marceline Market will be a “walk-around” style of dining for breakfast and lunch, and then the market will be converted to table service for dinner.
In addition, you can find the Mickey & Friends Festival of Foods on one of the upper decks of the Wish. This area has several food stations that are available for a quick snack or meal, and they’re bringing back some Disney Cruise Line favorites like the signature soft-serve ice cream!
In addition, the Festival of Foods will include two brand-new restaurants: the Disney Cruise Line’s first-ever quick-service barbecue and Mexican-inspired spots! The five restaurants that make up the Festival of Foods include Mickey’s Smokestack Barbecue, Donald’s Cantina, Daisy’s Pizza Pies, Goofy’s Grill, and Sweet Minnie’s Ice Cream. The restaurants are outside, and the area is designed to look like the boardwalk setting in some Mickey Mouse animated short films!
Disney has also released more information about activities on board the Wish! There are ten pools or water play areas, a live music stage at Luna, and the Hero Zone, which has sports courts, a game floor, a movie theater, and a playground!
There’s a lot going on in this luxurious cruise ship, so stay tuned with DFB for more Disney Cruise Line news!

Had considered a reservation on the Wish, but got turned off by the main dining rooms and the theming. Nice to see some of the other options onboard. I assume there is some type of breakfast buffet, and a sit down served breakfast too. But the “Marvel” and “Frozen” themed dining experiences turned me off. I was expecting to be blown away like at the Artist’s Palate where they make your own drawing come to life, and being able to talk to the animation as it swam but. That was off the charts, and I just don’t see it if you are not a Marvel or Frozen fan… of which I am not. Booked two cruises on the Fantasy and the Wonder instead.
