What's New in Magic Kingdom: Plaza Ice Cream Parlor Reopens and TRON Construction

As Disney World’s flagship park gears up for the 50th Anniversary, we’re spotting LOTS of changes! So, we’ve been checking in regularly to see all the new stuff we can find. Here’s everything new in Magic Kingdom in food, construction, and merchandise!

Plaza Ice Cream Parlor

First up, the BIG news this time around is that Plaza Ice Cream Parlor reopened! Yep, sundaes and ice cream cones with Mickey ears in front of the Castle are a thing again!

Of course, we stopped into this spot to celebrate the reopening AND we reviewed the sweet treats too.

Magic Kingdom Construction Updates

Fantasyland

We’ve seen parts of the Sorcerors of the Magic Kingdom game removed from around the park over the past few months after it was discontinued. Now, some of the keys from the portals were being removed in Fantasyland, but they were still in place in some other locations.

In Tomorrowland, big changes continue at TRON Lightcycle Run as the main crane and much of the construction is gone.

Emporium

Finally, let’s talk about merchandise! We spotted the latest set of Wishables at the Emporium — it’s The Incredibles!
