We know that Thanksgiving Week may seem forever away, but 2021 has been plowing by quickly!
And, now that Halloween time starts in August with the BOO Bash followed by Disney World’s 50th anniversary, we’re already in the holiday preparation mode. So, if you plan on heading to Disney World in November, you’re going to want to see the prices and availability for Thanksgiving Week this year!
As we researched Thanksgiving Week in Disney World, we originally set our search dates from November 21st through November 28th as Thanksgiving Day falls on Thursday, November 25th this year. However, when we did that, NONE of the resorts showed any availability! So, we shortened our dates to just November 24th through November 26th in order to see any sort of availability.
Value Resorts
Only ONE Value Resort has availability during this time frame — Disney’s All-Star Movies Resort at $214 per night. This is a bit of a shocker, considering that Christmas has more availability (even if the prices are pretty steep). Disney’s All-Star Music Resort isn’t even open yet — it’s set to open on September 16th, 2021 — but there still aren’t any reservations open for All-Star Music right now!
And we had even worse luck with the Moderate resorts!
Moderate Resorts
During the same timeframe, NONE of the Moderate Resorts have any availability! This includes Disney’s Coronado Springs, Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort, Disney’s Port Orleans Resort – Riverside, and Disney’s Port Orleans Resort – French Quarter, and the Cabins at Fort Wilderness.
It is possible that more availability could be added during Thanksgiving Week!
Deluxe Resorts
As for the Deluxe Resorts, only Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa has availability — everything else is booked! You can stay at the Grand Floridian for $871 per night over Thanksgiving.
Let’s see about the Deluxe Villa Resorts!
Deluxe Villa Resorts
The category with the most availability is the Deluxe Villa Resorts. We have Bay Lake Tower at Disney’s Contemporary Resort at $884 per night, Disney’s Riviera Resort at $1047 per night, and Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort at $760 per night.
Don’t forget that Disney’s Very Merriest After Hours event will also be taking place during this time! The event is taking over for Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party this year and will feature festivities like Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmastime Parade and Minnie’s Wonderful Christmastime Fireworks Show. Near Thanksgiving, the 4-hour event will be held on November 21st, November 23rd, and November 28th.
Disney World could see more availability open up at the hotels as it gets closer to the holidays, but, it’s clearly going to be a busy time of the year! As we near the holiday season, you can stay tuned with DFB for a look at all the Disney news you need to know.
