We have been eager to learn more about the 2021 holiday season in Disney World.
With the change from Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party to BOO Bash this year, we have wondered if the same fate would hold true for Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party. And now we have our answer.
This year, Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party will be replaced with a new After Hours Event. The new event is called Disney Very Merriest After Hours. This new experience will kick off on November 8 and will run on select nights through December 21.
The event will run for four hours and will include Minnie’s Wonderful Christmastime Fireworks, characters, holiday music, holiday decor, TREATS, and more!!
Tickets will go on sale next month and there will be an early purchase window for those staying at select Disney World hotels. We will be back with MORE holiday details soon. A lot of information has been released, so be on the lookout for more need-to-know info.

Disney needs to stop with the money grab and actually care about its guests. I understand people with still buy these, for more than the actual party, but its definitely not worth the money!

What Heck is wrong with Disney?!?
They should be ashamed of themselves.
If history has shown us anything, Just titling something “After Hours” immediately translates into 3 hours for $130-$190 per ticket.
This is rediculous!
We need to send disney a message and stop buying these over priced
, under delivered tickets.
I’m just done. Disney. You get no more of my money.
Why can’t you sell a normal reasonably priced ticket and NOT invent a new way of saying Unaffordable ticket for a crappy 3 hour event that sells too many tickets to make it worth the price.

When Disney decides to take the word Christmas out of their biggest seasonal event and end the afterhours event before December 25th I will call it quits with visiting after my upcoming booked visit in August. My family has visited Disney every year from before Epcot was even a dream but this will be it for me…..

Nice way to remove the word Christmas. Think people don’t notice? Another 2021 takeaway and there have been many with more to come. They really need to remove the words magical and happiest from their brand. Remember…..the goal it to purge those of us who remember when Disney was a somewhat pricey great value for those who accept this total bull crap money grab. Yup….I’m done too.

My husband and I came down for the first time in 2019 after my daughter was married. We spent 5 days there and didn’t get to do much. We are both on a fixed income, we have to save practically every extra penny we have to plan to come down. We both have medical issues and looked so forward to coming back for Christmas so we could see the “magic” and have a lovely time and do the things we couldn’t do. With all these changes, we aren’t sure we will be able to make the dream we had by coming back. Such a shame.

People really need to stop telling other people what is WORTH IT and how to spend their money.
Events like this are 100% WORTH IT for my family. Which is why we have tickets for Halloween night and will be buying tickets for opening night of the holiday party. I think it’s an absolutely wonderful offering and I can’t wait. The value is far increased for us from the traditional party — and, yes, that means we are glad fewer people and far fewer children will be there — and we are so looking forward to seeing the decorations, enjoying the treats, and having a magical time.
By the way, as people who celebrate different holidays during the winter season, we’d like to point out that CHRISTMAS isn’t the only thing that exists in December. You people seriously need to stop making yourselves into self-proclaimed victims because other people are being recognized. YOU ARE NOT BEING OPPRESSED. Taking the word “Christmas” out is an acknowledgement that this event covers a time period where there are more than twenty holiday celebrations going on. This is not an attack on you. You are not being held down. Your religion is not being defamed. Get over it.
It’s truly amazing how such a “crappy event” with “rediculous” (I’m assuming that is supposed to be “ridiculous” ) pricing is so unbelievably popular. Guess I’m just not in the loop with what the smart folks know. I’ll just have to have an incredible magical time, see gorgeous decorations, eat delicious food, ride my favorite rides, trick or treat, see the snow, and watch my daughter light up with delight and accept that as the sacrifice necessary for my ignorance.

Truly sad for Disney. We planned to celebrate our recent windfall (thank you powerball, no we only won 1.3m not the big one) by taking the whole family with the VIP behind the scenes tour for Halloween. This was an obvious bend the knee event, afraid to offend anyone with the word “Christmas “. When I called to cancel our resort and park booking they begged us to keep it and wouldn’t cancel our reservation and booking until I spoke to the regional manager! I guess they pull out the stops when someone cancels a $104,000 trip… go woke go broke, wasn’t a wise of of money in hindsight anyways. Good luck disney.

We went to the Oogie Boogie bash. Waste of money. 8 “trails” of cast members putting ONE piece of candy in your bag. Have to walk through several times to get a decent amount of candy. Crappy parade. Honestly, don’t waste your money on these “special” events. If you want to go to Dland, just buy the cheapest ticket. You can see it decorated without buying the event tickets. And I completely agree about the disappointment about them taking the word Christmas out. Whether people like it or not, the MAJORITY of our population celebrate Christmas. Even people who aren’t Christians do Christmas. Yes, there are other holidays but they are not a part of American culture (except Hanukkah).
