Even though it’s still mid-July, we’re already prepping for the fall season!
Halloween festivities kick off at Disney World next month, and BOO Bash tickets were pretty popular when they went on sale. Now, tickets have dropped for the Oogie Boogie Bash at Disneyland Resort…but you’ll be waiting for a while to get them!
We logged on today to purchase our tickets and were immediately sent to a virtual waiting room. We stayed on this page for a while, waiting for the queue to load.
However, once the queue loaded, we found out that we’d be waiting even more! The estimated time right now is more than an hour long. Looks like it’s time to kick back and chill with some Disney+ for a bit!
Update:Â We’ve seen reports online of some guests saying they’ve been able to get through and purchase tickets. But, various members of our DFB team are still stuck on the page noting that the wait is “more than an hour” and they have been on that page for several hours now. The notice on the page notes that Disney is experiencing higher than normal wait times to purchase tickets. We’ll continue to keep you posted!
Update:Â After waiting for several hours, some of our DFB team members finally got a more exact wait time and were eventually able to get tickets! One of our team members waited a total of 4 hours and 45 minutes!
Here’s a look at the current availability as of around 6:15PM ET on July 13th for September…
…and October.
Of course, availability is subject to change so be sure to get those tickets as soon as you can!
While some of our DFB team members were able to purchase tickets, another was still waiting and during that time they got the following message from Disney. In the update Disney notes that wait times may be several hours or more, and that they are “deliberately pulsing Guests through the system.” They noted that there are still lots of tickets and that they’ll be keeping the system open throughout the night to accommodate guest demand. We’ll keep an eye out for more updates.
We had a feeling this event was going to be popular — with 25 nights filled with treats, entertainment, and after-hours fun, fans are definitely excited. Ticket prices range from $114 to $169 per person, which is actually cheaper than Disney World’s Halloween event.
We’ll keep an eye on this wait time and let you know of any important details. Stay tuned to DFB for the latest!

Have you ever been to a Disney park for Halloween?
Lori says
Twice now my wait time got under 15 minutes and then soared back to near or more than an hour again.
Cristabel says
I’ve been in the queue since about 9:02 and it still says more than hour. I was hoping it would update but nothing so far and I’ve refreshed a couple of times.
Maricar says
Currently waiting in line. It’s been an hour but the site still says more than an hour! I hope my page will update when my time comes
Jennifer Provencher-Neuberg says
So I learned the hard way that if you jump in the queue on your cell phone and the phone goes into screenlock, you get booted out of the queue. So I got to watch my wait time go from 39 minutes to “more than hour” in two seconds because I was driving and forgot to touch my phone screen. This is a nightmare. It has now been stuck at “more than an hour” since 9:40am for me. It is now 10:45am.
Alex says
My wait time has not changed from “more than an hour” since I opened the link at 9:10. I have it open on my phone, so I’m not sure if that’s the issue. This is stressful.
Courtney Blackham says
Been in the queue since 8:55am and still have more than an hour wait. Mine hasn’t changed at all from more than an hour since I initially got on. This is so frustrating.
Ruth says
I was told an hour, got through in around 30 minutes. Booked and paid then instead of a confirmation got an error message! They’ve taken my money! Of course I can’t get hold of anyone to figure it out 😳
Pati says
I logged on with my laptop before 9am and then about 9:03 I was put in the queue “You’re in Line” approx. wait time more than an hour. It’s 11:55 and my screen still reads the same. I made sure all my settings were “never log off”. I tried logging on my desk top about 11am to see what would happen…same screen!
Christy Rinderer says
I have been in the “Your in Line” since 9:00. Just got a message that they are experiencing a higher amount than normal and please continue to wait in the que. I have been standing by for 3 hours.
Adrian says
I’ve been in the queue since 9:27am and it still says I have more than an hour. I also queued in on my phone about 9:47am, same results so far…..more than an hour wait time.
Jennifer W. says
I’ve been in line, with an approximate wait time of “more than an hour” for the past 4 hrs. I’ve heard reports that the online ticketing system has been charging people double for their tickets, and then they’re not even certain they have any tickets at all! Disney needs to up their technology game, this happens every time there is a special event. Really taking the fun and magic out of Disney experiences!
Marian says
I’ve been in the que since 9:30 and just saw a message that says: we are experiencing higher than normal wait time to purchase tickets for Ophir boogie bash……please remain in the que to hold your place to purchase tickets……
Drea says
I got into queue when it opened and it read “more than an hour” . At 12:05pm a message appeared that wait time are longer than expected. Still waiting at 12:55pm. Anyone got tickets yet?
Dana Gardner says
4hrs still waiting
Krystal says
are we able to refresh the page. I got on the page at 854 am and at 9am it was still on sit tight so I refreshed at 901am and then it changed to more than an hour. I haven’t refreshed at all since then and I have not seen any change on wait time. I hope that one refresh didn’t kick my original spot. I don’t know if it does so I haven’t touch it since. 4 1/2 hours in now and nothing.
Adrian says
This is getting ridiculous! 4 1/2 hours in the queue and the last update was at 12:05pm stating high call volume. Yeah, no shipping.
RoseAnne says
I’ve been in the queue for almost 3 hours now! Hoping it updates soon, so at least I know how long I might have to wait. I don’t want to miss out on these tickets!
Tripp says
Took me almost 6 hours to get through, but every date was still available as of about 2:50 PM Pacific time.
Karlene says
I waited for 7 hours then finally was able to purchase my tickets!!
Brittany says
This system definitely was an Oogie Boogie nightmare! I logged on with my computer, was in the queue with over an hour wait. Jumped on my cell and joined the queue, and it was only a 15 minute wait. Got through on my cell, and kept getting an error message every time I tried to complete the transaction. I tried 3 times! Received no confirmation or reservation number for my purchase. Called my credit card company and have pending charges for Oogie Boogie tickets, but no receipt or actual tickets from Disney. Such a nightmare!
Troy says
My credit card has been charged twice but I have no confirmed tickets. Is this the new normal we were warned about or has this debacle happened in past years too? This is my first ever attempt to purchase party tickets and I am not impressed.
Todd says
How many times does this scenario have to play out with tickets going on sale until Disney is better prepared both with IT and staff to handle it? It is amazing how inept a guest-service focused Fortune 500 company can be in prior proper planning.
RickTR says
The reason the wait time is so long is because nobody in line could buy tickets. I kept getting an error message saying there was something wrong with my method of payment , other people I know got technical errors or were charged two or three times and then booted out without tickets. Also you couldn’t call for help as all the lines were down. The people already at the buy screen stayed on hoping things would get fixed which they didn’t. I don’t know why they just didn’t sell September dates first and then October. They should have know there would be a big mess.
Kerene says
Took me almost 5 Hrs but I got my tix plus 3 of my co-workers got theirs… The first one was a blast!
Looking forward to this years!
Adrianne Eggett says
I have been on here since 6:00 this morning and it is still telling me I have over an hour wait! tried my phone several times and been on the same window on my computer since 6:00 then it took me down to 54 minutes then jumped me back to more than an hour what is the deal what did I do wrong
