Welcome back, DFB friends! We’re here with another What’s New at EPCOT!
Between the EPCOT Food & Wine Festival kicking off in just a few days, new merchandise arriving in the park, and more construction updates on ongoing projects, we have a lot to cover! So, what are you waiting for? Let’s jump right on in!
EPCOT Food Update
Food & Wine Festival
We’ve been watching as Food & Wine Festival booths have been added around World Showcase, and now we’re starting to see the FULL menus arrive too! So, now you can get a peek at all the eats and drinks you can find…
…plus the prices! We always suggest coming to the festival with a plan because there is SO much to try out and that’s why we’ve got our DFB Food & Wine Guide to help you out!
There are still a few menus missing from the booths, so we’ll be keeping an eye out for more in the next few days!
Check Out ALL the Food & Wine Menus and Prices That Are Already Up HERE!
Speaking of the Food & Wine Festival, the Canada Pavilion has gotten a new sign for the Appleseed Orchard booth which is actually located inside the pavilion. Now it’s pretty hard to miss where you need to go if you’re hoping to try some of the cider and beer, plus, there are even some new trees up around the entrance to welcome you!
And, over in the American Adventure Pavilion, we spotted some chefs hanging out around the brand NEW Rotunda Bistro booth getting ready for all the business to come!
But, that’s not all — the Refreshment Port has gotten a new turquoise sign out front! Currently, what will be going there is a mystery, but we’re guessing that we’ll know within the next few days as we approach the festival.
The Food & Wine Festival will run all the way through November 20th, 2021, and more booths will be joining on October 1st, so there will be plenty of time to snack your way around World Showcase! Of course, we’ll be bringing you reviews of ALL the booths, so be sure to stay tuned to DFB this week!
France Pavilion
And, as we made our way around World Showcase checking out all the new menus and booths that are popping up, we stopped into Halles Boulangerie Patisserie to do some “window shopping” as we like to call it. And, we noticed that the Chocolate Tart is back!
This dessert is made with a pastry crust with a thick caramel layer and then topped with rich chocolate frosting and a chocolate curl garnish and is a must-try for all you chocolate lovers! You can pick it up yourself for $6.50.

Sunshine Seasons
We also stopped by Sunshine Seasons and noticed that the Quick Service restaurant has returned to serving their meals cafeteria-style and from grab-and-go cases.
Previously, all guests have had to mobile order from this location and, while you can still place your order through the My Disney Experience app, you now have another option when visiting.
EPCOT Experience
And, there’s another place to stop and grab a bite to eat on your way into World Showcase now — the snack bar in EPCOT Experience has officially reopened!
Here you can find both a Cheese and Pepperoni Flatbread, popcorn, frozen novelty treats, and beverages including a small draft beer selection.
EPCOT Construction Update
Future World
We’ve been keeping track of a lot of different construction projects around EPCOT, and this week we noticed that the water beds where you can find the gravity-defying water fountain have been drained.
Disney hasn’t shared exactly what they’re doing in the area, but this isn’t the first water fountain or body of water that we’ve seen drained in Disney World. They often just need a few touch-ups and then are back to flowing soon after.
Mexico Pavilion
And, over in World Showcase, it looks like Disney is preparing for crowds. This week we noticed a new directional sign had been added in front of the Mexico Pavilion to help guests understand which way to go for the attraction (Gran Fiesta Tour Starring The Three Caballeros), dining (San Angel Inn Restaurante), shopping, and La Cava del Tequila.
This pavilion can get pretty crowded on busy days in EPCOT, so be sure you’re paying attention to the signage when you’re visiting.
Refreshment Outpost
Disney has slowly been reopening play areas in the parks and now there’s another spot to relax and let the kids work out some energy!
The area where guests can play drums and other instructions under the shade at Refreshment Outpost was fully open when we stopped by, so you can stop to cool off on a warm summer day here.
Canada Pavilion
And, you won’t have to watch the JAMMitors perform while standing anymore — benches have been added to the viewing area in front of the stage. Plus, there are even umbrellas making this a prime spot to hang out on a warm afternoon during the Food & Wine Festival.
There aren’t many benches though, so you’ll have to be lucky to get one when you’re passing by!
EPCOT Merchandise Update
Canada Pin Kiosk
World Showcase may be filled with EPCOT Food & Wine Festival booths, but there are still some remnants of the Flower & Garden Festival! We stopped by the Canada Pin Kiosk and noticed that there were lots of luggage tags and stickers from the festival still available (and at a pretty affordable price)!
So, you could pick up Luggage Tags with Minnie Mouse…
…Spike the Bee…
…Pluto…
…a summer-y quote…
…or even a Passholder tag with Figment.
And, the back of all the tags has spots to fill out all the information you’d need if your luggage happened to get lost.
Each luggage tag is $6.
And, if you want to pick up some other low-cost souvenirs, you can also find Flower & Garden Stickers that feature Mickey Mouse…
…Pluto…
…Spike the Bee…
…a flowery Spaceship Earth…
…the Flower & Garden Festival logo…
…or a passholder sticker.
The stickers are $5 each!
EPCOT Other Updates
UK Pavilion
On our way around World Showcase, we also stopped into the UK Pavilion and got to say hi to Mary Poppins who was out for the afternoon. We’ve spotted her greeting in the garden area of the pavilion a few times now, so it was great to see that she is still coming out to say hi from afar.
And, the butterfly house may be gone from the front of EPCOT, but there’s still another spot to find butterflies! The UK Pavilion has a small hut where you can watch as they go through their life cycle.
If you look inside the hut you can find butterfly eggs, caterpillars, pupa, and even some adult butterflies before they’re released into the wild.
But that’s not all that was new! We also noticed that a piano was set up in the gazebo at the back of the pavilion, so we’ll likely be seeing some entertainment come to the area soon.
Well, that’s a warp on all the new construction, entertainment, merchandise, and Food & Wine updates in EPCOT this week! Of course, there’s only more to come at the park in a few days as the next festival begins. We’ll be bringing you updates on it all so be sure to stay tuned to DFB for the latest!

Mary Jan Lantz says
Has it been 100% decided that there will be no ticketed events. We sure miss the French Family Meal, Italian Food, Wine Vs. Beer Pairing, Mexican Tequila Lunch, and of course our favorite Party for the Senses? So sad, it seems these events could be modified in the large special events pavilion to ensure social distancing.
DFB Sarah says
Mary Jan, they haven’t specifically said no events are coming, so we will continue to monitor in case anything is added over time.
