Carrot Cake Cookie
From Dole Whip to Mini Mango Pie, all four Disney parks bring us some serious favorites. Perhaps one of our top cookies of all time is the Carrot Cake Cookie in Disney’s Hollywood Studios, but something seems to be afoot with this beloved treat… .
Earlier today, a reader reached out and said that something was going on with the frosting texture on the Carrot Cake Cookie. So, we swung by Trolley Car Cafe in Hollywood Studios today to check in on the good ol’ Carrot Cake Cookie. This treat has seen some changes in the past, and we needed to check in on the situation for ourselves. And oh no! Something is amiss!
Carrot Cake Cookie
When we took a bit of the pillowy goodness, we noticed something pretty different with the icing. The texture was a LOT more rubbery than its usual sweet and gooey. In fact, it was pretty far off from a regular frosting; it had a gluier texture. Plus the cream cheese flavor was strong but not quite as sweet as we remembered.

Weirdly enough though, a Cast Member told us that the cookie recipe hasn’t changed and another let us know that the icing had the same ingredients as always, but he had noticed a difference in consistency.
It’s possible this batch of Carrot Cake Cookies went a little wonky and we certainly hope that was the case. We can’t imagine having to demote one of our favorites for having rubbery filling! Don’t get us wrong, the cake part was still good but we were not fans of today’s icing texture.

Had one at the end of April and noticed the same thing. Not sure I’ll waste money on one again and sad my beloved treat is not the same.
I thought I might’ve just had a bad one, but the filling is STILL rubbery as of 8/7/22. Do they not taste their baked goods for quality??? Horrible texture…YUCK!
