We hope you’re wearing your stretchiest pants because we’re munching our way around World Showcase!
We’ve been checking out all of the booths at the 2021 EPCOT Food and Wine Festival. Of course, we’ve tried ALL KINDS of amazing festival eats, but now we’re going to stop into one of the SWEETEST…or spiciest booths of the bunch! Let’s review the delish menu at The Donut Box!
Menu
The Donut Box was introduced at the 2019 Food and Wine Festival and made a pretty good impression.
After all, we’re suckers for a menu built around fried dough. This year, MOST of the menu is made up of NEW items and we’re pretty excited to give them a try.

So who’s ready for some donuts?

First up, we’re trying out the Candy Jar Donut made with M&M’S, SNICKERS, and TWIX for $5. First impressions? This looks like a pretty sweet bite, except that well, it got a little melty in the Florida heat. We guess that can’t be helped, but it is something to keep in mind. Wipes will be a necessity here!
Overall, this donut is a chocolate dream — if you are a chocolate lover, RUN to this booth and grab it. But eat it quickly, or you’ll end up with a melted chocolate mess.
Next up, we’re swapping to an item that has really got our attention — the Sriracha-glazed Donut.
You can give this spicy treat a try for $5. One thing we noticed about all these donuts is that they are VERY dense — more cake-like than a fluffy light donut. The glaze on this one, though, was DELICIOUS. Although it is a sriracha glaze, it’s not overwhelming and doesn’t hit too hard.
The heat will coat your mouth as you eat it and the heat may not hit you initially. But it’s there!! Overall, it’s a good mix of sweet and spicy.
Ever heard of a donut chef? That sounds like a dream job! Well, the chef at this booth has a hand in a rotating menu item, the Chef’s Donut of the Day for $5. Today, the donut was a Black Forest Donut with Chocolate Frosting and Cherry Compote.Â
If you’re into chocolate-meets-cherry flavors, this will TOTALLY be your jam. This donut should change every 2 weeks or so!
AND there’s another Chef’s Donut of the Day for the same price! This one is a Lemon Blueberry Donut.
It’s a Lemon Donut with Blueberry Icing. So here’s the thing — we loved this one way more than the Black Forest Donut. The lemon center is also an AWESOME surprise. If you love lemon, you need this donut in your life.
Can’t choose a donut? Good news: You don’t have to! Instead, you can pick up The Donut Box, a Pack of the 4 Daily Donuts.
This box is $16.

Looking for a BIGGER portion at this booth? Look no further than the Crispy Chicken on a Sriracha-glazed Donut for $8.50. Oh yeah.
So guess what? This is our favorite of everything we tried here, and could very well make our Best of the Fest list. It’s crunchy, it’s juicy, it’s sweet, and it’s spicy. It’s EVERYTHING we love.
We also really loved the texture of the combination of ingredients on this baby, too — you get a nice crunch from the slaw and crispy chicken breading. This is one of those items we will buy again and again. We love the heat! And the sweet and spicy combo is just sooo good! This is a MUST-TRY! So fun, different, and delicious!Â
But enough about those doughy treats! What are we washing them down with!
Beverages
This year’s booth marks the return of the refreshing Strawberry Smoothie for $5.
But, if you’re looking for something alcoholic, you might want to try this year’s Milk Stout. It’s the Left Hand Brewing Bittersweet Imperial Coffee Milk Stout from Longmont, CO — 6 oz. is $5 and 12 oz. is $9. This beer is VERY bitter and dry, which makes it a perfect pairing with the sweetness of the donuts. It’s medium for a stout and not too heavy.
You can also pick up last year’s Black and White Coffee Cocktail for $14 or a CORKCICLE Classic Tumbler for $32 at The Donut Box.
Overall
Overall, the donuts at this booth were a little denser than we liked (and that could just be opening day jitters — we expect these will get even better over time) but we think we have a favorite EPCOT Food and Wine snack in the Crispy Chicken on a Sriracha-glazed Donut. But you know us…we’re suckers for a good donut sandwich!
And there you have it! As you can see we had an awesome time tasting the treats at The Donut Box! Think we have some Best of the Fest contenders? We’ll have to wait and see! The crispy chicken siracha glazed donut was amazing. We’re still thinking about it almost two years later. I really wish they’d bring this back. If you have any pull, can you whisper in their ear and ask them to bring it back? 😄
