We’ve been having a BLAST at the 2021 EPCOT Food & Wine Festival! Obviously, we’ve been thrilled to take you with us along the way!
We’ve made our way around the Mexico Booth, the Donut Box, the Noodle Exchange, and more! Buuut, we’re back to eating more food (and lots and lots of it too)!
We’re about to do a deep dive into all the food and drinks at the Tangierine Café: Flavors of the Medina! This is a NEW festival booth, located inside the recently closed Tangierine Café restaurant. Keep in mind, Disney now owns the Morocco Pavillion, which is a big reason for many of these changes.
There have been Morocco booths in the past (in more of a “booth” form), but this festival marketplace is basically a totally different menu from the Morocco booth last year, taking inspiration instead from the closed Tangierine Café! Some of the menu ingredients might look familiar if you’ve been to the Tangierine Café before, but they’re all new dishes!
Menu
First let’s peek at the Menu for the Tangierine Café: Flavors of Medina!
Since it’s all-new, of course, we’ll be trying one of everything!

Let’s dive in!
Food
Each guest in your party can enjoy the plant-based Fried Falafel Pita with Tahini Sauce.
We thought the Falafel was delicious! The Tahini Sauce was yummy and super creamy, but the Falafel wasn’t overloaded with it, so we still got a lot of good flavor from all the parts! The Falafel itself was like giant, buttery hush puppies! They were crispy on the outside and served inside a very thin pita alongside lettuce, tomato, onion, and cucumber. All in all, we’ll be back for this one again! The Fried Falafel Pita is $5.25.
If you’re looking for something on the lighter side, you can snack on the Stone-baked Moroccan Bread with Hummus, Zaalouk, and Zhoug Dips.
We had fun with this dish! The bread was good, but the real star was the dips! Our favorite was the green sauce — that’s the Zhoug dip! It had a little kick to it that we loved! The Hummus was tasty and had a more mild flavor. It was a pretty generic hummus, really. The red sauce is the Zaalouk, which is a garlic-y tomato-based dip. The flavors were strong in that dip too, but we still liked the Zhoug best! Our only complaint is that we needed one more piece of bread — we had a lot of sauce leftover! The Bread and dips are $5.
We won’t say no to a great set of kebabs! So, the Grilled Kebabs with Couscous, Tomato-Onion Salad, and Garlic Aïoli looked AMAZING as a new option. These come with Lemon-Garlic Chicken, Moroccan Spice Lamb, or Harissa-marinated Beef Tips! The Lemon-Garlic Chicken, Spiced Lamb, and Harissa Beef Tips are similar to what you could find on the menu when the original Tangierine Cafe was open!
We thought the chicken was the best option of the Kebab flavors for someone who’s a little pickier about their flavors! It was good and tender, but it didn’t have super strong seasonings or flavors.
For the Moroccan Spice Lamb Kebab, we thought the lamb tasted pretty average! It had a good flavor, but it was pretty dry, so we wanted more sauce on top. It seemed more like a lamb sausage to us!
Next, we tried the Beef Tips Kebab! The Harissa-marinated Beef Tips were a little over-cooked in our opinion! The meat was definitely cooked to be well-done, but the flavor was pretty good!
All of the Kebabs came with Couscous and a little side salad with Cucumber, Tomato, Onion, and Herbs. The sides are good, but not really anything amazing or stand-outish. The Kebabs are $5.75 each!
As you end your meal on a sweet note, you can try the Pistachio Cake with Cinnamon Pastry Cream and Candied Walnuts.
We LOVED this cake! The cake itself was very moist and buttery, and there weren’t really chunks of pistachio inside the cake. But there were walnuts in the Cinnamon Pastry Cream! They added a great crunch to the other smooth textures! The top piece is white chocolate, which was tasty and SO pretty, but not really the star of the show in terms of flavor! You can get this cake for $4.75!
Drinks
Practically ALL of the Tangierine Cafe’s drinks are new this year for the festival. And, that means that we’ll be trying each of them to share with you! The young foodies in your party can enjoy the non-alcoholic Fresh Orange Juice and Fresh Blood Orange Juice.
The Orange Juice is $4.75, and the Blood Orange Juice is $5.25! Both of these juices were tasty and refreshing! They’re pretty much regular juice, though, so if you’re looking for something exotic or exciting, this might not be the best choice. They also both had a LOT of pulp in them! If you (or your kids) aren’t pulp fans, steer clear of these!
Various ciders are available on the menu, like the 3 Daughters Brewing Fig Hard Cider from St. Petersburg, FL, the Bold Rock Ginger Turmeric Hard Cider from Nellysford, VA, and the Woodchuck Cinnamon Nutmeg Hard Cider from Middlebury, VT! We decided to try the new ciders in the Cider Flight, which is $9.75! You can also order these individually at $5 for 6oz and $9 for 12oz.
Our favorite of the Cider Flight drinks was the 3 Daughters Brewing Fig Hard Cider! It didn’t have a very strong fig flavor, but it was really refreshing (which was great on a hot day!). The Bold Rock Ginger Turmeric Hard Cider was spicier than we were expecting! You can really taste the ginger in this drink, so if you’re a fan of ginger or ginger beer, this is the perfect drink for you! We thought the Woodchuck Cinnamon Nutmeg Hard Cider was just OK. There wasn’t a lot of cinnamon flavor — mostly just nutmeg. Even that flavor wasn’t super strong, and we expected more spice from it.
If you’re looking for something a little bit different, Tangierine Café also has the Fig Cocktail with White-Cranberry Juice and Fig Vodka.
It’s definitely a different flavor, but we really didn’t love the Fig Cocktail. The flavor was super unique (almost medicinal from the cranberry juice?), and was pretty sweet. The alcohol flavor was almost nonexistent in the cocktail as well. If you want to give it a go, it costs $11!
Overall
This festival marketplace was a super mixed bag! We LOVED the Fried Falafel Pita with Tahini Sauce and Pistachio Cake, and the Cider Flight had fun and unique flavors! The Kebabs didn’t really blow us away, and we still have a funky taste in our mouth from the Fig Cocktail. But one thing we can say for sure — this booth has some fun flavors that are great if you want to be more adventurous in your Food and Wine snacking!
And, you can stay tuned with us throughout the day as we try eats, treats, and drinks from the other booths available at this year’s EPCOT Food & Wine Festival!

A great hack for anyone who loves a screwdriver: get the blood orange juice at Tangerine Cafe, and then step across the walkway to Spice Road Table and get a shot of vodka to put into your juice. The people at the check-in area and the bartender were very welcoming and excited about this pairing!
