There’s a BIG perk in store for Disney World Resort guests this fall.
Early Theme Park Entry will be introduced on October 1st to allow those staying at Disney World hotels to enter the theme parks BEFORE other guests. The new perk is replacing Extra Magic Hours, and now we’re looking into which resorts will be included.
According to the Shades of Green Resort Facebook page, Shades of Green guests WILL have access to Early Theme Park Entry when it begins on October 1st.
Shades of Green is an Armed Forces Recreation Center and the official Disney World military resort located in the Magic Kingdom area. It is not owned by Disney, so we weren’t sure whether the perk would extend to guests at this hotel.
Early Theme Park Entry gives eligible guests entry into the park of their choosing 30 minutes prior to the posted opening. Disney Park Passes WILL be required for the park you’re entering early.
Disney recently released a list of hotels that will include Early Theme Park Entry. The list includes several hotels in the Disney Springs area.

In addition to Early Theme Park Entry, Disney will be offering Extended Evening Hours for select Disney World resorts. This list is more selective and only features Disney Deluxe or Disney Deluxe Villa hotels.
So far, Disney has not announced which days, and how much extra time these guests will get in the parks. Select attractions, merchandise, and food and beverage locations will be available during Extended Evening Hours.

Since all Disney generally allows all parks to open 30 to 45 minutes ahead of opening hours how is Disney going to ensure that only us resort guests take advantage of this offer?

See this is absolute garbage!
If you are replacing Extra Magic Hours. Then replace them across the board.
Once again… Disney is telling everyone that if you are not in a certain Tax bracket then you won’t get the perks.
Why only Deluxe resorts?
Why not all resorts like with Extra Magic Hours.

I need you to do all of us a favor and stop saying this will be replacing Extra Magic Hohrs. Because it certainly is NOT!
This is just a perk of being rich and being able to afford a $800/night Deluxe resort room.
What about those staying at the value resorts? The people who are actually spending family time AT the parks?
Most of the Deluxe guests I’ve met aren’t using these perks.
Disney. You are getting a shameful Talk to the Hand from me.

Brandon, thanks for reaching out. Early Theme Park Entry does apply to all Resorts. It’s the offering that applies to all four Parks every day for thirty minutes prior to general Park opening. The Evening Expanded Hours are the ones you’re referencing that will apply only to Deluxe and Deluxe Villa guests. Disney has billed the Early Theme Park Entry (which also includes Disney Springs Area Resorts, Swan and Dolphin, and Shades of Green) as the replacement for Extra Magic Hours, but the Evening hours certainly appear to be a rebranding, so to speak.

The Shades Of Green early entry a military hotel they deserve it . Disney is only using a small amount of resorts to do it .Disney is still counting reservations . They are probably at 70 % of it is The expensive hotels they are paying for it 30 min. To me is not a big deal .Maybe get on 2 rides if you are lucky then the wait times go up very fast . I was at Disney this past week my daughter used single rider did great . Disney is going to give more expensive hotel first dibes . It is always the way it was at one time all resorts got to do it . But the reservation numbers of people going into the park would be to large of amount .

Shades of Green stated on their website that they will also be participating in the expanded evening hours program.
