We’ve been having a BLAST eating our way around the 2021 EPCOT Food and Wine Festival!
We’ve already made our way around to some awesome booths like Japan, Canada, and China. But there’s SO. MUCH. MORE festival food to try! Our next stop is in The American Adventure pavilion to try some exciting beer AND eats. Join us at Hops and Barley!
Menu
Hops and Barley might sound like it’s all about the brews, but the menu has some pretty interesting eats available too.
Get ready for American flavors, whether they be savory or sweet!
Let’s dive right in and see what’s in store at Hops and Barley!
Food
Shellfish fans will be pleased to see the return of the New England Lobster Roll!
This festival classic comes with Lobster and Herb Mayonnaise on a Griddled Roll for $8.50. There’s also a NEW savory item, too! We’re trying the Hot Beef Sandwich with Horseradish Cream and Pickled Vegetables for $6.50. Ok…we’re already into it.
We thought the Hot Beef Sandwich was incredible! Even picky hot beef fans will be impressed. It packs some heat, too with Pickled Jalapeño, Celery, and Carrots. It’s hot and it’s awesome.
This spot also has a classic festival favorite with the Freshly Baked Carrot Cake with Cream Cheese Icing for $4.50.
If you like carrot cake, this booth is worth a stop. But we’ve got some serious sippin’ to do too since EVERY drink on the menu at this booth is new!
Drinks
Starting off with your white wine option, Hops & Barley is serving the Longevity Chardonnay from California for $5. As for the red, you can snag the Tribute Cabernet Sauvignon from California for $5 too. We snagged the Beer Flight for $9.75 to try all the new beers, but you can get each one as a 6 oz. pour for $5 or a 12 oz. pour for $9.
The flight includes 81Bay Brewing Co. Strawberry and Lime from Tampa, FL, SweetWater Brewing Company Hazy IPA from Atlanta, GA, and Lord Hobo Brewing Boom Sauce DIPA from Woburn, MA.
Out of the many flights of beers we’ve had at the festival, this one could be our favorite! All of the beers included in the flight were nice and clean. The Double IPA was very bold but still drinkable, and the Strawberry and Lime wasn’t too sweet! Finally, we’re sipping on the Bold Rock Roast Coffee Hard Cider from Mills River, NC which, like the beers, is priced as a 6 oz. pour for $5 or a 12 oz. pour for $9.
Coffee and Hard Cider seem like an odd pair, but we were surprised at how much we enjoyed this beverage! The coffee flavor is really just a hint, and it while it IS a weird combo, it’s a weird combo that works!
Hops and Barley is a runaway hit this year with their beer selections! If you’re a serious beer fan, you’ll want to put this booth at the top of your to-do list!
Overall
Hops & Barley is another Food and Wine staple that remains relatively consistent year to year. Fans can expect classics like the Lobster Roll and Carrot Cake along with new items to try, including the Hot Beef Sandwich and ALL of the drink selections this year!
And remember…don’t feed the wildlife, as tempting as it may seem!
