Another day, another festival in EPCOT! And, we’ve been taking you with us all day long to the start of the 2021 EPCOT Food & Wine Festival!
So far, we’ve explored the new merchandise, hefty crowds, and more. And, now we’re stopping by a fan-favorite booth that you won’t want to miss!
Menu
We’re taking a trip from the EPCOT Food & Wine Festival all the way to Hawai’i (or so we’d like to think)! And, we hope you’re ready to get ready to snack and sip because there are PLENTY of fun items on the menu at the Hawai’i booth!
The Kaluha Pork Slider is almost always on our Best of the Fest lists, so we are excited that it’s back! The AULANI Sunrise was also on last year’s Best of the Fest. So let’s dive into the eats!
Eats
Poke bowls have been all the rage recently. So, it’s no surprise that Hawai’i would feature the Tuna Poke with Eel Sauce, Spicy Mayonnaise, and Crispy Shrimp Chips for $7. And, if you’re a tuna fan, this might be at the top of your list for the eats around the Food & Wine Festival this year! The dish is extremely flavorful without too much spice, so everyone can enjoy it. There’s a generous portion of the poke, so we feel it is a pretty good bang for your buck.
But, we have to say that we wish the poke would have come with wonton chips instead of puffed air chips. Still, it’s certainly unique compared to many of the other dishes at the festival this year! We’ve seen the Tuna Poke in past years, however this dish is slightly different and is presented differently than before.
You can also find returning fan-favorites like the Kālua Pork Slider with Sweet-and-Sour DOLE Pineapple Chutney and Spicy Mayonnaise for $5.75. This slider remains a Best of the Fest option for us with a wonderfully doughy roll, heat from the mayonnaise, sweet slaw, and salty pork for the perfect combination!
Another returning menu item is the Teriyaki-glazed SPAM Hash with Potatoes, Peppers, Onions, and Spicy Mayonnaise for $4.50, if you’re looking for something savory.
But, if you want something sweet, you can indulge in the Passion Fruit Cheesecake with Toasted Macadamia Nuts (that’s also a part of Emile’s Fromage Montage) for $4.25. The cheesecake is SUPER creamy with just a hint of passion fruit flavor. The toast macadamia nuts honestly make this treat, though, with the necessary crunch to combat the soft dessert.
This isn’t our favorite dessert we’ve had today, but it was certainly good and cheesecake fans would enjoy.
Drinks
Many of the drinks at the Hawai’i booth make us feel like we’re on an island getaway. And, the new Kona Brewing Co. Hanalei Island IPA, Kailua-Kona, HI made us want to take a trip to the beach ASAP! The fruity IPA is a great introduction into beers if you aren’t a big fan of beers in general as the sweeter notes stand out. You can take the IPA with you around the park for 6 oz. for $5 and 12 oz for $9.
The Hawai’i booth also has the returning Florida Orange Groves Sparkling Pineapple Wine, St. Petersburg, FL for $10…
…as well as the AULANI Sunrise: Vodka, DOLE Pineapple Juice, and Grenadine for $14 that you can enjoy as a refreshing treat in the Florida sunshine! Like the ingredients might suggest, the Sunrise has a VERY sweet flavor with lots of pineapple notes. While the grenadine may make it too sweet and not strong enough for some people, it’s a great option for those who don’t like drinks that are overly boozy!
It made our Best of the Fest before, so stay tuned to see if it makes the cut this year!
Overall
The Hawai’i booth has plenty of unique options and flavors for those who are looking for a break from the beef or chocolate eats you might find at other EPCOT Food & Wine Festival spots. While we’re so glad to see awesome items return to the Hawai’i booth, the new Tuna Poke is a must-try item that tuna fans will love!
And, you can stay tuned with us throughout the day as we try eats, treats, and drinks from the other booths available at this year’s EPCOT Food & Wine Festival!
