Things are constantly changing when it comes to theme parks and changes due to COVID-19. Universal Studios Hollywood face coverings policy was recently modified to state that face coverings were optional throughout the park for vaccinated guests.
However, Universal Hollywood has once again adjusted their policy for face-covering requirements.Â
According to a representative of Universal Studios Hollywood, Universal will require all guests and team members to wear masks indoors once again, starting tomorrow — Saturday, July 17th.Â
So far, we just know that face coverings are required at “all indoor venues,” which includes restaurants, inside indoor ride queues, and inside shops and attractions.
This is in response to the new rule throughout Los Angeles County that face masks must be worn indoors at all times, regardless of people’s vaccination status. This rule goes into effect at midnight on July 17th, but according to the team member, Universal plans to require face coverings all day on the 17th.Â
Unlike Universal, Disneyland is not located inside Los Angeles County, so they will not be required to enforce the new mask mandate. Disneyland has not yet announced whether their current policy of not requiring masks indoors for vaccinated guests will change.
