The Walt Disney World 50th Anniversary, also being dubbed “The World’s Most Magical Celebration” is coming on October 1st! There will be special nighttime spectaculars, a new attraction, new EARidescent outfits for Mickey and pals, and so many more changes starting on October 1st.
As part of the 50th celebration, Disney will unveil 50 brand-new character sculptures scattered around all four Walt Disney World parks! Let’s take a look at all of the character statues that have been revealed!! We will continue to update this post as more statues are revealed.
Disney has said that this Fab 50 Character Collection will include surprising ways that guests can interact with the sculptures as part of the celebration.
The artist’s rendering seems to suggest there will be some kind of digital interaction with the character statues. We can’t wait to find out more! In the meantime, let’s take a look at the statues that Disney has given us a preview of so far!
The first of the fab 50 to be announced was none other than Mickey Mouse. You can watch the announcement video, and Magic Kingdom location reveal, below.
We also know that the Mickey and Minnie Mouse sculptures will be dedicated to Disney Cast Members of the past, present, and future.
Bill Farmer, the voice of Goofy, revealed Goofy as the next confirmed character that will make an appearance in the Magic Kingdom!

Coming in next, we had our first pair of characters confirmed to be in Disney’s Animal Kingdom: Timon and Pumbaa!

And good news for fans of the Disney animated classic, Beauty and the Beast, because Cogsworth and Lumiere are joining the lineup! Tres magnifique! You’ll be able to find the statues of these two icons at Magic Kingdom Park during the celebration.
If you’re a fan of Daisy Duck, then you’ll be thrilled to know that Daisy has been confirmed to join this group of 50th Anniversary statues and we recently got a first look at her statue thanks to a post shared by the Disney Books account. Take a look below!

Joining Daisy will be Donald Duck! Eric Goldberg, a director and animator at Walt Disney Animation Studios, revealed on the Disney Animation Instagram what the Donald statue will look like!

Outside of the core Disney characters, the Disney Springs Twitter account has shared that Magic Kingdom will also get a statue featuring Winnie the Pooh and Piglet together!

Also, at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, you’ll be able to catch the INCREDIBLE (haha, get it?!) Edna Mode! Her statue was announced on the Pixar Instagram page.
On the Disney Parks Blog Instagram story and on @natgeotv on Instagram, we got a sneak peek at the Dante Golden Statue! You’ll be able to spot the adorable character from Coco over in EPCOT.

Back over at Magic Kingdom, you might spot a familiar, mischievous cat as a part of the new statues.

Another dynamic duo announced for Disney’s Hollywood Studios is Toy Story’s Bo Peep and Woody! Annie Potts, the voice of Bo Peep, revealed the statue on Pixar’s Instagram account.

Next up is the Mad Hatter. Disney voice actress Ashley Eckstein made the announcement on Walt Disney World’s official Twitter account.

Disney Imagineers Ann Morrow Johnson and Scott Trowbridge got to share the news that Star Wars’ R2-D2 would also get his own gold statue!
The head of D23, Michael Vargo, recently announced that the one and only Orange Bird will be joining in on the fun too with a golden statue in Magic Kingdom.

Aloha! Disney’s Aulani Ambassador, Alyssa-Lende E Kane, took to Instagram to announce that Stitch would be getting a gold statue!
Another Disney animated classic movie is getting in on the fun with the statue of Abu, from Disney’s Aladdin! Michael James Scott, who plays the Genie in the Aladdin Broadway Musical, announced on Instagram that this statue will be coming to Disney’s Magic Kingdom!

L Steven Taylor, who played Mufasa in The Lion King on Broadway later announced (via the Disney Parks Blog Instagram) that Simba will be joining the group with a golden statue of his own!
Are you a big fan of Frozen 2? Then you might be very excited to know that Olaf and Bruni will be joining the Fab 50 crew! This was announced recently by Jennifer Lee, Chief Creative Officer of Walt Disney Animation Studios. Check out the video below to get a peek at the statue!

While we already knew that Pluto would be joining the Fab 50 crew, in a recent video shared by Disney and featuring ESPN Chairman, Jimmy Pitaro, we got a first look at Pluto’s statue!

We’ll have to admit we were a little surprised when Disney Imagineer Zach Riddley announced that Rocket Raccoon and Groot would be getting a statue!
Classic Disney fans will be happy to see the Lady and the Tramp statue!
Coco fan will be super happy to know that Miguel is also getting a golden statue!

Finally, everyone’s favorite fairy, Tinker Bell, will be getting a statue!
Disney has also shared a special behind-the-scenes video that shows how the statues are being created — and this is the first time the public has seen a peek of the actual statues, rather than artist renderings.
