There has been so much returning to the Disney parks recently!
Disney’s Hollywood Studios
We’ve seen resorts reopening alongside some favorite restaurants, fireworks back in the evenings, and now another nighttime show is coming back!
We almost thought Disney World had forgotten about Hollywood Studios, with new shows announced for Magic Kingdom, EPCOT, and Animal Kingdom! But never fear, Disney just announced that the Wonderful World of Animation show is returning to Hollywood Studios, starting August 1st!
Wonderful World of Animation
This show features projections on the Chinese Theatre of Disney animated movies, showing off over 90 years of animation! Characters from your favorite Disney and Pixar films star in short sequences that celebrate friendship, magic, family, and adventure! You’ll see some classic Disney princesses and some of the most terrifying Disney villains!

In true Disney fashion, the show has Mickey Mouse at the center of it all! We love these nighttime projections, and we can’t wait to see them back again in Hollywood Studios! And of course, the show includes a few fireworks!!!

The Wonderful World of Animation debuted in 2019 as part of Hollywood Studios’ 30th Anniversary celebration! You can see the Wonderful World of Animation Show in Hollywood Studios again beginning August 1st of this year! Along with this announcement, Disney announced the return of the Beauty and the Beast show in Hollywood Studios, opening dates for Monster’s, Inc. Laugh Floor, and Turtle Talk With Crush, and the ending dates for two BIG fireworks shows in Disney World!

I can’t seem to find a show time for this. Do you know when it used to run in the past? I assume maybe at 9pm like the other shows?
Rob, I don’t see where Disney has specified a time for the Wonderful World of Animation show time. In the past it was typically 9PM, but that could change depending on Park closing time and other variables. We’ll report on this when it starts in August.
